What Now For Moyes?

Lets hope the fans don't kill him.. literally...

Any chance we can tempt him into a Fellaini + Young joint bid?

Strikes me as a risky move. He's looking for a challenge at least - can't say anything else. And he's putting his money where his mouth is regarding going abroad to sample different football cultures and whatnot. If he gets the gig I wish him luck - he might need it.

Apparently, Moyes used to just shout at and humiliate staff at the club....Just normal employees, not football staff, right out of the blue for no reason.

Let's see him do that at Galatasaray and see what happens

Absolute bollocks.

Good luck to him as always. I think he'll fail spectacularly personally.

Hope they literally don't try to murder him.

Since he has left:
Liverpool have lost the league in hilarious fashion
We have got in LVG as manager
We have signed Shaw and Herrera
Suarez has been banned for four months.

He's going to be terrible there. They will finish 6th and he'll go around telling everyone he's done wonderful job there though, the smugness.

Literally everything has turned around, even things completely separated from his influence. The man is bad luck, pure and simple.

It's as if SAF knew this would happen and was willing to sacrifice a season for his cunning plan!

He'll do well there. He has a lot going for him as a manager and hopefully he's that much wiser for his time at United.

But by all means, keep the mediocre jokes coming..

That's the thing about LVG and good managers. He made his own luck by being brave and going for it. Look at him in the world cup. He has got out of a really tricky group and has Mexico and then either Costa Rica/Greece to get into a WC semi with a squad that aren't world beaters.

Moyes would lose to Spain and Chile and draw with Australia and keep telling everyone that they were good.

Quite a leap from Low to Moyes. Wanted Porsche but will do with a Ka.

In reality it's only really been a couple of months since he was sacked but it feels like much much longer than that. As a poster said in the Van Gaal thread the atmosphere and mood around Utd and the feeling of excitement going into the new season, it's like night and day compared to how I was feeling under Moyes.

The updated news makes it sound like he's not even their top target anyway. Might not even happen.

Everything else turned out to be true.....I'm not going to analyse it anyways

Yeah, it actually did. They had an inside man - or woman - at OT, that seems obvious.

Still, there's no way to way to know what this screaming and shouting of his actually amounted to. Perhaps it happened once or twice - born out of frustration - and it was blown out of proportion. Moyesie wasn't well liked by the non-football staff, it seems. Which isn't the same as him being an absolute monster - just not very likeable, perhaps.

If Germany will reach at least the semi-final.......Loew will stay

Klinsmann will not leave the USA + USA team............his family lives there even in the time he was coach of Germany and he loves the US job

While Moyes would inevitably boast about trying to maybe get back into the top 4 next season you get the feelign that van Gaal has signed up to actually win trophies.

Moyes getting a job this summer might be the only way we can end up offloading Fellaini. We should be praying he gets a job. But I'm not even sure Moyes would risk signing Fellaini again as I am not sure fans at a club such as Galatasary would put up with him playing a style that involved endless crosses into Fellaini

I dunno....All I know is I love a bit of gossip :D
They said it was done to show he had authority and that he done in front of others to prove a point.

You have a point. About it being born out of frustration. As I said though, I'm not going to think much about it.

I've said it once, I'll say it again. LVG's appointment was great, these signings (and the ones to follow) are great but that day when Moyes was sacked and United confirmed they wouldn't be allowing some prick to Souness us? Most enjoyable day of 2014 for me. And I later got first class honours in my CompSci degree (not to brag but to put in context.)

This feels new, it feels fresh and like you say, the excitement is building. Night and day compared to Moyes.

As soon as moyes got sacked, we saw giggs come out as manager, liverpool slip up, LVG appointed, Suarez banned from football, and 2 new signings that addresses key areas. Good times.

Might be wrong but I can't help thinking this could turn into a disaster for him. If he fluffs this one then he could be finished as a manager. The pressure there is so intense I'm just not sure how he'll handle it - he found it hard enough to cope with it here. Strange choice if he's had all these offers he was talking about the other day.

What a weird decision. Who knows, maybe his ideas will be spot on there.

I think you're right, this could be the difference between a road back into mainstream European football management or a short-cut to sitting with Richard Keys in Doha for the rest of his career. It's not an ideal job either as it comes with immense pressure and expectation.

From the little I have seen from Turkish domestic Football I know it is a ridiculously physical league and is pretty defensive.I do not know if that is a good or bad thing for Moyes.
