Vidal is the kind of player that could boost United into a CL winning club. Transferprice shouldn't be an issue if he is available and you are sorted financially for the next 10 years.
Instead I'd rather the club be a bit smarter in spending £30m on an 18 year old leftback if so many other good (cheaper) alternatives exsist in the market and waisting £27.5m on a midfielder we all want out after just one season.
If you could get him at £34m, it'd be utter madness to turn him down.

If we've pulled out because of the price I can guarantee it's a lot higher than £34m. Probably closer to £50m. There's no way we'd turn Vidal down for that, no fecking way.

If the quotes by Vidal himself are true then I fully expect him to be a United player. Usually clubs want to give the perception to fans that the player was hell bent on leaving and they had no choice but to sell. That way no blame is placed on anyone except the player. We did the same thing to Rooney twice and you usually hear about players having to hand in transfer requests first (which unfortunately Fellaini did last summer). Juventus will play hardball with the fee, but we'll end up paying the fee, which we usually do when we really want someone as very rarely do we not pay over the odds for players we really want.
