Poor Juve fans, they just can't get a break today.

All in one day

 Imagine if similar scenarios happened at United in one day? The Cafe would cease to exist.

Juventus ask United about Fellaini  Imagine that.

Meh. Much rather that than bickering over Moyes for a year, watching insipid football and losing to mid-table dross. Plus, Juve have seen worse days.

I thought I'd take a look and answer my own question... here are all transfer threads for player we've been in for whihc had over 4,000 replies (as of now Vidal has 4,400):

Got
Berbatov - 19384
Herrera - 9714
Mata - 8084
Shaw - 6952
Fellaini - 6545
RVP - 6428

Missed
Thiago - 15736
Sneijder - 13667
Hazard - 8851
Ozil - 5449
Nasri(?!) - 5452
Kroos - 5333
Benzema - 4918
Sanchez (2010-11) - 4903
Lucas - 4885
Fabregas - 4270
Bale - 4148

So by my reckoning, once we get passed about 6k, our chances of signing him massively improve from about 1 in 3 to about 2 in 3.

So get posting!!! (just not about Suarez and RVP)

This means nothing. Every 1000 posts give us 3% more chance that we sign someone, while we have 10% chance with just thread created (if we assume that thread created has nothing to do with it, then every 1000 post give us 4% chance of signing). Not to mention that 30000 post give us 100% chance of signing. And this is big simplification, because we can't really say anything according to this data. It's just my inner muppet who calculated that. Now, we have 34% chance of signing Vidal. So it's "pretty" far from your calculation. :D

Something like Fergie retiring and Moyes being hired is something I don't wish on any club. Actually I am lying, I would wish it on Liverpool.
 Wouldn't we all?

It really is nightmare stuff though. Just thinking back to that time last year makes me cringe and get night sweats, particularly the Moyes part. Shudders.

Juve will weather this. They'll be up there with Roma at the end of the season, Vidal or not.

Still funny to watch though.

They were the preferred team by me to win Serie A until I started reading their Vidal thread and the level of abuse towards United was unwarranted. It was like RAWK but at least they have an excuse, if someone was bending over my club since 92 and penetrating them without lubing up first I'd be fairly 'butt hurt' too but we've been gentle with Juventus, we're offering to buy them dinner and leave it at that.

When the transfer deadline came and went last summer and all we had to show for it was Fellaini I knew we were in for a very rough season. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

It has more to do with the leaks stopping as soon as we hired van Gaal. The press has been "all over the place" since he was hired. They have no fecking clue.
Remember "the Van Gaal list"? Schweinsteiger, Strootman, Hummels, Konoplyanka... Originally posted by some guy from UWS, then the exact same 4 man list appaeared in De Telegraaf a couple of days later. Think we are in for Hummels but there's been near enough zilch on the other 3.

Is every Manchester United supporter you meet a complete and utter transfer muppet?

Or ever Liverpool fan a deranged poet of some sort?

I wouldn't paint all Juventus fans with the same brush as the ones appearing on the mental forum!

Strootman is long term injured so ruled out as it is.

Hummels and Schweinsteiger we don't know about yet as both were busy with WC. Both seem pretty unlikely anyway.

Kono seems a odd link. West Ham bid for him, didn't they ? If we wanted him i would assume we would have signed him by now with no WC involvement as well.

He'll be back in full training before the window is out.

I'd usually feel bad for them but the way they've been acting the past few days I find this quite hilarious :lol:

Slightly off topic but since a few of us here and been creeping about Juventuz.org, anyone know whats the deal with them having dolphin's on their avatars?

I like Juventus. And I thought our fans had good relationship with their fans. We had classic matches in the 90s.

But Juventus org seems to be full of bitter people.

I've seen this a lot and really can't get my head around why people think LVG has anything to do with so called leaks being stopped. He hasn't even been to Manchester since he became manager so how can he have any thing to do with leaks being stopped?

I'd hate to see this place during the imminent departure of our best player and our manager resigning.

I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about the last week or so. Most notably the plane comments made by a member on that forum which weren't even deleted. And saying we on a downhill spiral and Luke Shaw is overrated etc.

Don't know if he is the reason for them stopping, but they stopped when he was hired.

I also think it is dumb to suggest that Rio had anything to with it.

Pretty easily, by telling Woodward to shut the feck up.

Probably under threat of getting cockwhipped.

As bitter as they've been I feel awful for them, Conte's an excellent manager and we know what losing one of them is like. I want to say "they've got a great group of players, they'll continue their success!" but if we're anything to go off appointing an average manager does not equal sustained success. Even if we do get Vidal they'll get a nice sum for him and still retain the services of Pogba, and they're lucky the competition in that league isn't too fierce so I think they will keep their Champions League place and wait until a better manager comes along if this Allegeri bloke turns out to be the joke everyone's saying he is (is he the one who took AC to 14th or something stupid like that?), with them being Juventus and being in the CL I feel they'll still attract very good players and they could replace Vidal or Pogba (maybe not both at the same time) adequately.

'Welcome to the putrid city of filth'.

Conte's resignation works in our favor in that he enjoyed a very close bond with a lot of Juventus' players including Vidal. I would imagine if Vidal was undecided about leaving, that he will favor us now.

I don't think that anything to do with LVG though, more to do with Woodward having an embarrassing summer last year and learning from his mistakes

Rightly or wrongly, I'm putting the blame for everything that wrong last season (including our lack of transfers) squarely on Moyes. Woodward gets a clean slate and has done a complete 180 so far.
