I think the caf is generally tolerant of other club's fans but I still see some awkward/hostile exchanges between some of them here and the United ones. Can't imagine what it's like over there. Maybe there are a fair few sensible ones at RAWK who are drowned out by the poem writing, mouth breathing majority.

It wasn't 'hoofball', but did you really find their football (as a whole) excellent? There were some excellent moments for sure, but I thought they were quite dull and uninspiring a lot of the time.
Not that that means too much for us under Van Gaal or particularly worries me, because we have more creative players in the attacking third than the Netherlands' do in their squad, and hopefully another good midfielder to join the club too.

I never get this approach, who seriously thinks the relative beauty of a manager or player makes a blind bit of difference. And even if either are as ugly as feck, who cares, I'm certainly not offended that Fergie has a red nose or van gaal (...insert latest scouse wittism). If it's the worst that they can come up with I'm pretty happy, it beats being mocked about or previous managers aversion to training with a football, or preference for mindless crossing etc, you things that actually matter.

In the US, common usage for a team or collective group would be singular. To us, it's just one entity. Since the poster is aimed at an American audience, it would make sense to speak the way we speak. It would also help to have someone with a bit of star power on the poster, but I digress.

I don't think there's a more nauseating accommodation than English people using 'American-speak' to please our transatlantic cousins. It certainly doesn't operate the other way.
