Open training is good, i hope we can get some pictures from there of someone is going.

I've seen a few articles suggesting that we were daft for not using the same surface for training before, as if it was another example of draconian Fergie missing a modern trick. All missing the point that it was a new surface installed last year.

You would have a point if Utds record at Old Trafford wasn't impeccable under SAF.

There are so many good things being written about Louie. Trying to hold back the excitement!

They're building him up, it's natural. They can't wait to get an opportunity to try and knock him back down.

Some people choose to ignore these facts. At Bayern and Barca he had "football people" chirping in his ear every five minutes, telling him what formation he should be playing ect. There will be none of that at Old Trafford. I'm sure that will please him somewhat.

Except for Giggs maybe. Van Gaal will listen to his input. I think this is a great opportunity for Giggs. Van Gaal's mentoring certainly helped others make their mark as exceptional coaches.

@Matador8 - I agree, the issues with Bayern and Barca, respectively, stemmed partially from intrusion into various elements of Van Gaal's management of the team. The way that I have always viewed Van Gaal and his philosophy is akin to a machine and its parts. By its very definition, for philosophy and vision to work, the logic must be consistent and followed to its logical end. As it relates to a functioning machine, all parts must adhere to their function in order for output to be great, and with football, a vision and philosophy of playing, thinking and working must be adhered on all levels of the club, from the bottom to the top. He's an all or nothing guy. If you stick with him, his system is technically perfect. If you contribute to it's decline, it will fail, but Van Gaal's vision and philosophy is brilliant. his failings elsewhere were in my opinion due to issues outside of Van Gaal.

Van Gaal will listen to input only if he wants to hear it... ;)

And as much as I like him - he was as much at fault with his sacking at Barcelona and Bayern as the other parties in it...

I will. Will be working all night anyway.
I'll be watching too, took two weeks off work initially to go to Spain but it fell through so I'll just be up late anyway....or so I think. Do we know if it's definitely being broadcast (the conference I mean)
