Nobody should really be disappointed when it doesn't happen because
a) you shouldn't have had your hopes up in the first place and
b) almost every English source had nothing on it and a lot were denying it

Thats easy for you to say. And Andy Mitten said there is something to all the Vidal talk.

Is this a fair summary?

- Vidal mobbed at airport, asked if he will stay.
- He gives a diplomatic response, trotting out the usual footballer clichés about being happy at Juve.
- If he was absolutely set on staying at Juve, he could just say that, but he instead says that he will talk to Allegri.
- It's now accepted that the bit about going to Manchester or not was a Twitter fabrication.

Why the suicide?

I reckon we've tapped him up, he's going to speak to Juve and tell them he'd like to join us, Juve then work with United to reach a consensus on the fee.
From my non-existent Italian knowledge (I can hear the words "Manchester" at one point), he's asked if he's coming to us and he shyly laughs and says "no, no".

We're arguing about nothing here. My point is, some places want to paint this as a positive, which it's clearly not. At best it retains the status quo.
Look back at whoever said it was positive to begin with. The first tweets said that VIDAL said "i'm not going to Manchester", the next few tweets changed that to "Vidal was asked if he was going to Utd and Vidal said "No, no", now those second tweets are more positive than the simple "i'm not going to Manchester", do you see why that is?

I find it hard to believe that Juve are aiming for a better finish in the cl. If that was the plan then Conte might not have left in the first place and they would never have appointed a shitty manager in Allegri. They are just waiting to drive the price as high as possible.

Having nut cancer is more positive than having full blown AIDS, it doesn't mean it's a good thing, though. ;)

Somewhere in a darkened office Ed is on Twitter right now, reading the abuse he's getting, quietly sobbing. "But I told you all we weren't interested. I told you."
But then he would get abuse for not being interested in a player that would suit our midfield to a tee. We should be interested and if we arent then we need a reason why.

Right I've the skysports italia stream on.

You guys are useless.

What's going on? Is the Manchester part fake?
It probably isn't fake. But he was "hounded" with "Are you going to Manchester?" questions and he said " No,No" just as any player would do. Not going to say yes unless the clubs announce it.

Hope Big Ed is a Christina Aguilera fan..

Ooh, my body's sayin' let's go
Ooh, but my heart is sayin' no

If you wanna be with me
Baby there's a price to pay
I'm a genie in a bottle
You gotta rub me the right way

We really need to recruit some Italian speaking posters... Is there no one in the newbs who can be promoted for their translating contributions?!

I find this positive.

He again has not committed himself to Juventus, this is the third time he could have put his future to bed but has decided not to. He has mentioned us in the past as a favourable option, but is calm about his future.

The quote today sounds like someone has asked what he will be doing next week..i.e going to train with Juventus, or going to Manchester (to sign). Clearly we are not in a position that he is going to come to Manchester to complete the move, so when he says he's not going to Manchester, it's because he is going back for pre-season.

Nothing new really, he's not committed once again, which is good news for us.

Jesus, that's nothing really. The fact that the English media is saying we aren't interested in him is really more proof of the fact that it's not on rather than this. Every player in the situation would've replied like that.

Have I missed something, guys? Who even is this Vidal anyway?

Any Italians on here? Where the feck are y'all?

Isn't Devlish Itallian?

We need a proper word to word trasnlation fast.

At least the Manchester bit I can tell he really was just avoiding the question.

What's he speaking there, Italian or Spanish?

Perhaps someone could post a transcript of the whole thing here and it will be clearer
