CL 14/15 Group Stage Matchday 4 - October 4th/5th

I'm fairly sure they won that game.

Yep got the winner. Bizarrely they didnt push on for a 4th which would have won them the group lol. Remember Pellegrini being ridiculed for that.

Knowing there's no United in Europe, it would have really hurt more to see Liverpool and City do well there. Good to know they are equally crap.

Ajax miss an open header, 8 yards out. Should have scored really.

Götze with the 2-0 for Bayern, gets on the end of a Lewandowski cross.

Close to a handball there

Not that impressive imo.

They were in a group with AC Milan, Zenit and Anderlecht.
Round of Last 16 against FC Porto (They have even last one match).

Pellegrini was poor with Real Madrid in the CL too.

Edit: Yeah he was very good with Villarreal in the CL. But i still think Pellegrini is overrated. Other managers would do better with that squad.
Nitpicking at the opposition? Not even going to bother with that. You can do that with most cup winners.

Fernandinho gets sent off

Makes it all the more sweeter it's him as the fecking cnut gets away without so much as a yellow in most games he plays in the PL

Was just thinking he's walking a tight rope about 40 seconds before that when he went haring after someone. Few seconds later, bang, he's gone.

This is without doubt one of the worst atmosphere's I have ever heard at a stadium at the Etihad.

Shit fans, shit club and are no way NEAR bigger then Manchester United and never will be

At this rate, City won't even get the Europa League :(

Looking at City, they seem to have too many players who instinctively stop whenever they get the ball. Toure, Nasri, Milner, Fernando... The fullbacks tend to only speed things up high up, and even Navas often does a 'Valencia'.
Aguero is the only one who consistently drives as soon as he gets the ball.

They could do with an injection a pace centrally. Someone like Isco, who has a spring in his step and tries to move forward with his first touch, would benefit them a lot.

I'm fairly sure they won that game.

Suarez should have a brace.

My point was he's the kinda player you'd want in your team for his industriousness, defensive play. He's got a good right foot on him which would be obviously good for a defensive, counter attacking team. He's not the kinda player you'd want in your team if you're desperately chasing a game.

Reckon Fernandinho knew what he was doing there... he's a cynical fecker.

City are generally very good with 10 men... so don't get too excited yet.
