Euro 2016 qualifiers

Everyone makes fun of it but its actually quite depressing and creepy for me.

They had only avoided defeat twice in their history, in competitive games, once in 2002 and once in 1993 both when it didnt matter to the opponents.
I had a somewhat similar experience years back. Haven't bet since.

Betting £25 to win £2 on a football game is just silly

Backed Estonia to beat San Mario at 1/4 so expect Marino to make history with their first ever qualifying points!

Oh, well...

Looks like Spain arent missing Costa... which is good for us, especially if they keep him dropped.

Okotie looks very good these days, I don't know how he's performed for Austria before but I've seen him on the scoresheet a lot recently and he's been great for 1860 too.

Yeah he looks really good right now, was our joker against Montenegro and Russia and scored the winner against both. He really should be our number one striker at the moment, but Marc Janko (plays anywhere in Australia) is just a favorite of our coach, like our captain Christian Fuchs too, who is really shit more often than not^^
Hinterseer from Ingolstadt is in good form too, both should be ahead of Janko at the moment, I hope Okotie starts against Brazil.

Betting on football is silly if expecting to make money in the long run. Betting for fun is cool but betting to make an income of sorts is silly.

Hmm, depends on the situation you're in. I've been betting for four years now (basically ever since I started college) to get by during the week and it's a sort of income for me, a much needed one too. Sure, sometimes you lose and it sucks, but if you follow the sports closely (NBA, NHL and football in my case), wait for some good odds and try to build up patiently, it's not impossible. I do it for fun too tough, it's nice to have a side to cheer for in an otherwise uninteresting game.

So we've now had San Marino earning their first ever EURO qualifier point and the Faroe Islands beating Greece all in the space of a few days. Great week for some of the minnows.

Why do you do this to yourself?

Liechtenstein with an away win today, wouldn't be surprised if it was their first as well.

Forgot to mention them, cheers! Then again, it was against Moldova, but take nothing away from them.

Little separates them in the fifa rankings it seems, so it's still a great win for them.

Probably the 3 most famous euro minnows getting positve results in the same weekend.

And Gibraltar only losing 4-0 to Germany. Well done little teams

I would never back Estonia simply cos their shite where as San Marino are shiter. Estonia are used to getting beat so its not a banker. Plus winning away is never easy when your going to another country. Shoulda backed England!

It's a pretty safe bet betting against a team that has only not lost a game 4 times in their 30 year history.

Despite them being very low in the rankings they're still quite a bit better than San Marino. 7th qualifiers win (entered for the first time '96). They beat us just 6 years ago and finished a point behind us.

Usually these are bankers though because the lower but not tiny teams know these games are often the only or main ones where they will pick up points in. You tend to find even the smaller sides beat the absolute minnows quite comfortably, sometimes by more than the heavyweights.

Estonia weren't absolute dogshit vs England and have had some good results recently. Didnt they nearly qualify for Euro 2012 in the play off vs Ireland? Or was that the world cup?

1-1 between Sweden and Montenegro, great weekend for our team, 4 points ahead of Sweden and 5 ahead of Russia. I hope we can keep our form next year with Alaba coming back too.

Yeah your right 9 times out of 10 they would have won. Its just that these little teams will park the bus and hope for the best, Estonia are probably used to the same thing. Hold it down and back goals in the Arg-Por game.

RvP and Huntelaar, well that's a match made in heaven isn't it.

Well that seems a silly statement from me.

Latian player landed unpleasantly on his knee earlier. Tries to continue for a while but is being subbed off now. Hopefully it's not too serious.

I guess Carrick will have to come in for Blind if he really is injured badly enough to miss the Arsenal game.
