How the feck is Newcastle away one of the easiest Games of the season?
I'm talking in the context of our run-in, their injury list and the fact they have sod all to play for.
We won't get it much easier than that.

huh?Exactly.
Yes Di Maria is the new NaniGet the feck in. We played really well until Di Maria came off. Awful substitution, was creating chances but sloppy. We should have scored so much sooner but after the sub we did nothing. Thank feck for Rooney's work rate and their keepers feck up. Big win.
Doesn't always mean much though. I mean that season when we lost the title to city on goal difference, we were so lucky throughout the season with own goals if I remember correct, only for our 'luck' to run out when it mattered in the end.I hope that's a sign our luck is back
No all in all it was a deserved win from our point of view. It wasn't a case of a smash and grab as we were in control for most of the game and should have taken our chances before. I can see why your scouser mate said De Gea stopped us from losing but it wasn't the case where he had to make absolute worldie saves, he did the job you would expect from any top class keeper.
We should really switch Young and Di Maria's wings. That way they can attack their opposing fullbacks naturally and get on the outside of them.
This. Definitely deserved the 3 points, Newcastle had a few dangerous counters but that's all they had on us.Would love to know what match some on here were watching. Dominated the game and should have been out of sight by the end of the first half only for poor finishing.
Deserved win and Van Gaal takes as much credit as anyone for that.
They should have had a penalty, and they had a good chance early on in the first half. That was about it. We had far better chances, and a goal wrongfully disallowed.
I've noticed whenever they show the bench on tv they are never talking to each otherIs it me or did Giggsy not look too impressed with Van Gaal when celebrating the goal. Very stoney faced. Something not right there.
That was one of the easiest games we will have this season and we made heavy weather of it.
Thought it was a decent performance, least we made chances. We have some shape again. We dominated possession but we actually dominated territory too by getting the ball to our wide players. Some good link up on the right side, shame shaw couldn't link up with ashley on the left.
If we could create just a few more chances, and actually find someone can put them away we could be a formidable team.
Seems LvG has got his possession philosophy across load, and clear, next step has to be the attacking flair, but that'll be next season now.
Thought we were decent actually. But we genuinely need our attack firing and that's not happening. I thought our midfield for example did their job. But the strikers and attacking midfielders need to start stepping up week in week out with end product. Rooney's miss for example, basically sums up our strikers this seaosn. If falcao and rvp had been clinical this season it would have made such a big difference, so hopefully rooney can improve if he's given the place upfront next game.
A friend of mine is a Toon fan. He was sat near the away end in SJP and said United fans were doing aeroplane gestures at the 17th minute during the applause for the two Newcastle fans who died in the Malaysian air crash. Pretty damn disappointing if true.
Every club has those kinds of individuals unfortunately. Hopefully someome nearby sorted the out.
Absolutely. I've often witnessed small groups of United fans partaking in some nasty chants in my time, and I'm sure it happens in a lot of grounds.. What's most disappointing is the irony of these alleged gestures, given what our club's biggest tragedy was.

Your lot are the first set of away fans that I know of (technically second, Stoke fans didn't seem to understand at first) to come to SJP this season and not partake in the 17th minute clapping. Joined in later but that left a bad taste.
Was it a large number doing the gestures?

I find this quite difficult to believe considering how our own fans feel about that gesture.
