Champions League - Quarter Finals

Pretty crap draw IMO. Only real competitive games are ones we've already seen loads of times.

I fancy Real to finally get the better of Atletico

Sevilla - Zenit
Dnipro - Club Brugge
Dynamo Kiev - Fiorentina
Wolfsburg - Napoli

Last one should be a cracking game.

EL draw,

Sevilla v Zenit
Dnipro v Club Brugge
Dynamo Kyiv v Fiorentina
Wolfsburg v Napoli (!)

edit: damn you @RobinLFC !

Probably Club's best bet, you'd think by the way

Well, that's a difficult draw for Wolfsburg. If Napoli goes through, Italy could close the gap to England and Germany in UEFA's 5 year ranking signficantly. Both Juve and Fiorentina have great chances as well.

The winner of Wolfsburg v Napoli will win the competition.

We could realistically have an all-Italian final in Europa League and Juventus at least in semifinal of Champions League. Their co-efficents will go through the roof.

Haha, sorry! And yeah, it's a great opportunity to progress to the semi-finals indeed, but they're a tough team to score against and it would be a shame to go out of the tournament without having played against a proper big club. However, if they make the semi-finals, they're in for a treat no matter what. I fancy Wolfsburg, Fiorentina and Sevilla to go through.

Such days always make me a bit sad. Hope we will have the Chance to get nervous about CL draws again in the coming season.

As a neutral Viewer I just hope for some interesting games. Somehow I would grant Juve to win the whole Thing.
Barca - Bayern in the Semis or in the final would be interesting. They are clearly the dominating Teams right now but I could not tell who is on top.

If they can beat Besiktas, they should be able to beat Dnipro. Could be unique, Belgian team in the semi's, should be 30 years ago I think?

Manuel Neuer 2007/08

Helped Schalke alone against Porto to get into the CL quarter finals with this performance...

I don't see PSG beating Barca, particularly with Ibrahimovic suspended for 1 match. Think Barca will have more than enough to beat them especially if they have a similar performance to the City game this week.
Think Ibra not being there is a blessing in disguise. Problem for them is, Verratti won't play the first leg which will hurt them.
I was going to post more or less exactly what RooneyLegend said, word for word. Ibra not being available isn't going to hamper them, he's having a bit of a poor season (and recently I saw a stat that said their win percentage with him was well below the win percentage when he was out of the team), and more importantly, PSG are going to have to take their chances on the counter, and he slows the play down. It's not like he's ever lit the Champions League on fire anyway.

And I agree Verratti is going to be a huge miss: ball retention, when they get it (which against Barça isn't going to be that much), is going to be really important to them and Verratti is one of the best at that. Also, for any pressing game they decide to implement, he could be a huge factor. Thiago Motta definitely won't have the same impact, much less mobile, which could be a problem.

Shit, terrible draw for us. At least we play the first hand at home, a good result and we can pass some pressure to Munich. Other way around and I'm convinced this would be sorted in the first match.

I love this Porto on current form, but we haven't been tested against a serious opponent this season, specially after the team started to play well (it's no longer the same Porto that lsot 0-2 to Benfica at home). To make matters worse, it's an opponent that plays a similar style but obviously at a higher level. They'll nick the ball from us and exert a type of pressure we are no longer used to deal with. No Fernando any more, and he was ace at that sort of defensive game.

It's not like we have had much experience at parking the bus, which I think would be the only chance against Bayern on a bad day.

22 - Bayern only lost 1 of 22 competitive matches versus Portuguese teams (13 W, 8 D): the European Cup final 1987: 1-2 versus Porto. Heavy.

A few of us were dreaming with a Bayern - Porto final this year and us winning with a Brahimi back-heel.

We also did well against them in 2000, but very poor refereeing screwed us. Don't remember ever feeling so outraged.

I guess some of the Bayern players are very well known in Portugal...

And maybe the backheel can be made by the other team...

Boring draw really, we see atletico v real plenty of times and we psg-barca happened in the group phase and seems to happen every year

From a United POV, I'm hoping Monaco or Atleti win the whole thing, preferably Monaco. Our CL trophy haul is being caught up or overtaken by too many teams, and the ones we're supposed to be chasing are getting further and further away. Not good.

Hope Real don't win it, either - don't want any team but us to be the first to do it back-to-back in the modern era.
Its good to know I aint the only one who thinks this way.

Very boring draw indeed, one of the worse ever to be frank. I watch almost all Barcelona and PSG matches and not even I give a feck about that match-up. Real versus Atletico is just so watered down too and usually boring to watch unless your heart is for one of the sides as the matches are often full of drama atleast.

Bayern versus Porto, the only winner in this match is Porto - if they win Bayern's legacy will be shat upon and if Bayern wins it doesn't matter if they do it with 9-0 as it would be expected. Sad because I wanted to see Bayern in three consecutive tough games so they could really make a mark.

Juventus versus Monaco - Don't care who wins, but the winner will just be pollution to the CL as a whole as they'll be a free pass to the final - in the semi finals. Yes now I've jinxed it and Juventus or Monaco will win the thing.

Should have been; They need to start rigging the lottery.
Bayern vs Atletico----Real Madrid vs Monaco-----PSG vs Juventus----Barcelona vs Porto
-------------Bayern vs Barcelona----------------PSG vs Madrid-----------------------------

I´d bet on Atlético going through. Not convinced with Real Madrid´s and Ronaldo form in 2015. Maybe things will change with Modric´s return but Atlético has been clearly better than Real in this year matchups.

I always compare chances while analyse these cup matches. Real was soo shitty against Atletico this season that they should win one of those two matches and go through.
You cant be that bad in 8? games.

Porto is a good draw but like Sammer said; always have respect. Great club with a pretty amazing record in europe in realtion to its leaue and country.

Real Madrid will not be happy, i think they would of taken Bayern over Atletico
 no way. Bayern is the last team I wanted.

Altough Simeone's men won't be a walkover as has been proven in the past. :nervous:

Chance for revenge for that 3-0 earlier this season.

*cough* 4-0 *cough* ;)

But yeah. Man, After Barca and Real they were the team I wanted to avoid.
Dirty hard fighters. And proven winners, in Spain and europe. No, just no.

So Bayern and Juve huge favorites to go through.

I actually fancy Atletico to go through over two rounds against Real.

PSG vs. Barca is the only game I'm absolutely undecided about but if Messi is in top form they will go through against PSG.

Yes 4-0. Tbf to Real i doubt they will have Nacho and Varane as the center back duo this time. They will still have Casillas though :p

I just meant that Atletico are somewhat of a bogey team for you now, the pressure and environment seems to get to the players and your always on the back foot kinda like City for us recently, I honestly see Atletico progressing unless some major injury to Mandz etc although you do have Modric back who makes that team click.

The reaction of the Bayernplayers during the voting (you cannot see on what draw they reacted - the second and third picture was the reaction on Real vs Atletico...)

feck!!

I must have erased that last goal from my mind.
I think you deserve revenge for that 4-0 loss and after that we deserve our revenge for the 4-0 loss. Then everyone is happy.

/edit:
wait, someone needs to kick Barca out before the final, it would suck if they then get their revenge for the first 4-0. Ffs, way too many 4-0s in recent years.
