The net effect of ramos at fullback with one of silva/illara in midfield will be greater than carvajal at rb and silva in midfield. Apparently he only played there once before this season against barca and had to be substituted with ancelotti calling it the worse mistake of his career.

Playing him there vs Barca and playing him there today is different though. They need to compete in the "battle" tonight. Vs Barca, he'd be simply running around like a mad man as they pass the ball around him. As I said, I dont rate Illara too highly myself. Havent seen much of Silva but him in the holding role wouldnt inspire me much either, especially not considering what they're up against.

Am I the only who's tired of that stupid celebration? Over and over and over again...

Christ, it would have been fine if he'd scored a screamer from thirty yards, but scoring an easy tap-in on top of a 5-0 victory and celebrating like that just looks silly.

Its quite ridiculous. Especially when he celebrates tap ins that way as you rightly said.

Ancelotti wishing he had Phil Jones tonight. I guess he will have to make do with Sergio Ramos in the middle of the park instead.

Annoys me how Atlético are criticised for being sly, dirty etc when Real Madrid have been much worse in the recent derbies.

There is nothing more annoying than watching two Spanish club compete in theatrics and then to make matters worse, players mumble something with ref keeping palm over mouth.

Atletico cant keep the ball. Could be a long night for them if this continues.

Isn't that Jese guy a striker? I thought he was meant to be highly rated. Surely he has to be a better option that Hernadez

Real Madrid haven't beat Atlético in all their matches this season and yet Martin Tyler thinks Atlético might be fragile mentally. Sigh, why couldn't Sky have picked their actual (non-Armstrong) La Liga commentators instead of these idiots?

Simeone giving good audition of why he can be right fit candidate for Chelsea job after Mourinho.

I think Hernandez played well on the weekend which has earned him a start. Also he's a striker whereas Jesé is more a wide forward so it's more like for like for benzema.

Atletico might be the most thuggish team I have ever seen. Their entire plan is always sitting deep and intimidating the opponent by doing a thousand fouls.

Would love to have a post-career interview with Ramos and Busquets, where they take us through the theatrical highlights of the El Classicos under Mourinho and Guardiola.

Yet the team they're playing kicked and elbowed Atlético about last week...

Come on, Chicharito is not that bad. He plays quite different than he used to in here, too. Plays more like a normal forward rather than a poacher.

Apart from one moment, Hernandez has done well.

Agree that it's silly for the Premier League commentators to be covering this when the excellent La Liga ones are available.
