So whats the issue between Ramos and Perez about?
Perez hasn't offered him enough money in hi new contract. Ramos is popular with the fans and having a go at the boss is a unique thing with Real Madird and Barca as their fans get to vote who is the boss every so often. A popular player having a go at him will undermine Perez to the fans and risk his re-election. I expect the Ramos to United to build to a fever pitch in the next 24 hour with media outlets in the UK claiming it's a done deal quickly before we see a picture of Ramos and Perez together as he signs his extension with the cash he wants and proclaiming he wasn't angry with Perez and it was all the medias fantasies. United will again have been used as a pawn by an agent and player to get a better deal.

Cheers guys! Ah well, here I was thinking it was some real hardcore issues....

There is also the treatment of club legends like Raul and Casillas. And the fact that he thinks that Perez is planting stories about him being a money-grabber in the press.

He's 29 already, not the most reliable cb and the amount rumoured is too high. Not good business, imo.
If you look at the players we've been linked with this summer, they're all over 25 (near enough). LVG wants to win the league next year and buying players who have been there and done it is the first step. He's leaving in 2 years and he doesn't want to build a team that didn't win anything under him but our next manager gets a big trophy haul because of him. We're in the short term management game now, we need to sign the best when they come available to be the best.

:nervous: What the hell is going on? Slowly starting to get a bit worried here.
Be shocked if Ramos left you guys... though I have to say I'm bit surprised with these recent reports. Dunno what's going on....

If -the biggest if ever - we happen to want him here, we should not give Madrid silly money +De Gea - that would piss me off:mad:
Don't want Perez to get a big fee from us to finance his next toy!

This is slowly starting to get my interest... I suppose weirder things have happened at Real

I don't want Agüero, that should have happened 3 years ago.

Who asked for your opinion? You will take Aguero far from the PL, that's the minimum for taking our De Gea.

------------ Lloris
-Ramos---Boateng--Otamendi---Shaw
----------Bastian---Schneiderlin
---Mata--------Rooney---------Depay
----------------Benzema

The Summer of our lives

some suggesting Ramos or Schweinsteiger to take the United captain's band:wenger:
Schweinsteiger is a natural leader though...... we could use one of those as the lads collapse too easily when they run into trouble. I like Rooney but he's just not very inspiring....in my humble opinion of course...

I don't mind to sell players and I totally understand the dirty tactics(United asked Ramos to demand the exit)but I can't stand to lose spaniards, that is so painful. If we have to buy from PL then I'd prefer Sterling

Whaat? You'd prefer Sterling over Aguero???? Quite frankly I wish we had Aguero at United.

If it's Aguero, I'd be happier with paying them a big fee

Nah Rooney is our captain and Carrick the vice captain, that wont change. After that, Ramos and Schweini fight it out.

Edit: If we get them obviously.

It's not that crazy.
trouble comes calling as soon as that happens, you take the armband from one of the contemporary symbols of the club and who has done not bad a leading job to a newcomer(albeit a strong leader).
but yeah, LvG is exactly the type who can do those things without blinking, but I just don't advocate that course

Agüero is injured too often,he is not madridista. He would play in Barcelona if he had a good offer.I am curious about Sterling-Benitez.I didn't name Hazard since I see it impossible

Rooney just can't catch a break on this forum.
Come on, most of what's said about Rooney on the 'Rooney thread' is constructive criticism. No one's slagging him off.

Still can't help thinking that Ramos put the request in to see if Real will concede and offer him a better contract (if they do, I think he stays -- and I think they will).

But stating that a brand new signing will simply take the captain's arm band off him, come on...
