What do we do now? Wait?

Or Ramos declares he would never leave Madrid, signs a new contract we sell them DDG for a piddle poor price anyway and we look like bigger mugs that if we had just sold DDG without all the pa-lava

Personally think we'll get a player, or DDG will leave on a free next season.

If I'm wrong and we do flog him for cash it'll be £25 million +, and we can have some fun with them, and cost them lot's of money in new contracts in the meantime.

We should unsettle a few more players in the meantime. A rightback, another CM and a striker. Once the Ramos / De Gea deals are over(either outcome), we leak the names to the press.
Others have suggested it as a joke, but I honestly think we should do it.

Right that's it. I'm putting my tent down here for the foreseeable future. This is the place to be.

Havent seen those.

Well I have seen some say we have agreed terms with Lloris but not contacted spurs yet

Also seen alot of english ones today saying we have started negotiations with Tottenham with an opening bid of £18m. Also mentioning L'equipe who said Lloris has a verbal agreement in place he could leave if offer came in for £18m or more (was a condition for signing a new contract).

But ofc rumours...

That would be a good deal.

This transfer doesn't excite me in slightest. Anything other then straight swap with DDG and we're getting our pants pulled down by Madrid.

I'd rathar prefer us to sign younger Otamendi for similar amount.

those clowns at Croatian RTL today mentioned sthing about Modrić and Ramos being in the deal for DDG. I really dont know where do they get their info.

That's strange - the rest of us have put our tents up.

Why's the Guardian in the thread title? They're just like all other bullocks English media.
Not really. They aren't all that reliable but they do have a few journos who know what they are talking about. The likes of the Daily Star have a team of clueless people just make it up of the top of their heads. The Guardian are a little better.

Fixed.

What is the relationship like between Valencia and Real? Would they be adverse to a bit of pissing in Madrids cornflakes?

Would be great craic if they played nice with inquiries about Otamendi, waited for Real to sell us Ramos before announcing that we've signed him as well. Get on it Ed, - Valencia could see a league rival weakened and we'd all get to enjoy watching Madrid come out of a transfer window on the wrong side for once!

I disagree. He's pretty much their captain, and pretty much Spain's captain too. Would be quite the coup.

IMO it goes:
Official confirmation
BBC closely followed by SSN
Times/Telegraph closely followed by The Guardian

They've been wrong pretty often with us recently - springing to mind Benatia + Gundogan. Please correct me if I'm incorrect though.

I've completely missed whatever you're referring to re Benatia but it's too early to know if they were wrong re Gundogan.

Not considering his age and the amount we're reported to be paying. I'd rathar pay that for a younger and better defender on Otamendi. Ramos is a better footballer though.

I'd go:
