I would honestly be satisfied of that. I am a big Pedro fan but it would please me even more to see our own players do well.
Isnt that the purpose...Do you create a thread when anything pops into your head?
This. Two number 10s aren't a reason not to a winger.Pedro doesn't have anything to do with Januzaj or Pereira. VG prefers Januzaj as a second striker and Pereira will either play as a number 10 or a central midfielder.
We still need someone to play on the wings. Young, Depay and Mata aren't enough options for a long season.
I don't know why people keep bringing these 2 up, Pereira can't even make the fecking bench but more importantly neither of them play on the right forward position, which is where Pedro would have enhanced us instead of playing Mata there.
And you are assuming LVG will drop Mata. Defence apart, Only Mata and Morgan S have played every minute of our matches so far.

This. That's because we don't have any other options for the right.
Firstly, we will spend more money and secondly, if we didn't, so what? We have spent more than enough over the past few season to shut the anti glazer fans up.Sounds like an excuse we would use when the Glazers wouldn't spend any money and we had to make do with what we had.

Yeah, we do. Young, Januzaj, Valencia.
Valencia is more of a right back these days, I don't think Van Gaal even considers him for the right wing spot anymore. Januzaj seems to really struggle on the wing under Van Gaal whenever played there as well, so I'm not sure on that one. And Young has always played on the left and Van Gaal likes his players cutting in. So I really don't see any of them as real options for the right apart from Januzaj, who is far better as the 10. Definitely still think we're short in there.Yeah, we do. Young, Januzaj, Valencia.

I personally think they're both better in the middle.I guess this thread is as good as place as any...
Anyone else think that swapping Mata and Januzaj round would give us a really good attack? Januzaj's pace and ability to beat players is more valuable out wide and Mata superior use of the ball would be better used in a central position.
As I said in another thread, our attack is currently the same as last seasons (which only managed 60 goals) just minus RVP & Di Maria, + Depay & Hernandez... I really don't see how, even with the addition of Depay (who looks excellent) thats enough to challenge.
We also have Fellaini and (at a stretch) Hererra for the 10 position.Well for the 3 positions behind Rooney, we have:
Memphis, Mata as the clear first choice, Januzaj, Young, Pereira, as back up? We're short 1 more player who is first choice either as the 10 or as the right winger, moving Mata to 10 or maybe up front with Rooney dropping to 10. Ideally somebody with pace and who can score goals. So basically pedro/bale/muller.... They'd all take us up another level.
Januzaj and Pereira have huge potential, but they'd get plenty of playing time even if we signed somebody, because we are a bit short of numbers and quality up front at the moment. I hope they get plenty of game time, but we need to strengthen up front.

You can add Falcao to the minus list.
On the plus list we also have Januzaj and Wilson. Same names as last season but another year older and better. Hopefully the same applies to Perreira. A lot of comments today along the lines of "you'll never win anything with kids". Believe :P

Well technically, you'd add that to the plus list!
Nothing LVG has done so far really indicates that he's suddenly ready to thrust Wilson and Perreira into first team action mind - I mean, if they were going to be big parts of the squad this season, I'd have thought they'd have played a bit more last season. Either way, the kids in 96 had Cantona and Cole to play off, we don't currently have a striker who is anywhere near showing their levels of ability.
I do think LVG's come to the conclusion that he needs a striker though, thats probably why we've pulled out of Pedro.
