I can see where your coming from, if he is not in the CL squad I dont see him playing for the first team all season , which would be a waste. Not convinced LVG will play him, it seems a no brainier bring him in for Romero but who knows what LVG will decide to do.

Why does DDG get €10m?

He apparently put in a clause that if the transfer does not go through RM have to compensate him.

Not a chance he will be in the team for Liverpool, if he does play again it will be a few weeks. He should be back in against liverpool, Romero would struggle to be number one keeper at pretty much any premier league club and we have two better keepers sat in the stands but it seems once LVG takes his mind up that is it and surely de gea's head is even more likely to be screwed up after all this.
Have to agree with this. The fallout is still to be seen, but Real basically forced their #1 GK Legend out the door, then forced their popular new #1 out the door on deadline day, then failed to get their man.in fairness to DeGea he has kept council very well in all of this.
through no fault of his own the deal has collapsed.
I feel that both himself and Mendes are going to be incredibly pissed with Real as they have know our stance all along and we were never going to make it easy.
If Real were that bothered about signing DeGea they would have met the rumoured €40m fee weeks ago and not tried to be cocky feckers and force our hand.
I said in a post a while ago that I could see him staying and also signing a new deal and my stance remains as Real have completely fecked him over.
What do people that voted "Yes" in the poll win?![]()
Fair. Never been to England but have been to Amsterdam and Brussels in the fall . For someone used to 80 degree weather I can understand why foreigners don't take to that kinda of climate easy. Even if it's sunny. Felt like an icicle in October. It's not that bad, I was there for the Spurs game, and it was sunny and lovely all weekend.

Yeah, I get that, if you're used to tropical weather, it's probably a bit different.Fair. Never been to England but have been to Amsterdam and Brussels in the fall . Manchester United notes Real Madrid’s statement on the attempt to sign David De Gea and sell Navas to Manchester United. The Club feels compelled to provide some clarification with the following facts.
• Manchester United did not seek contact from Real Madrid for the sale of David. David is a key member of our squad and the club’s preference was not to sell. • No offer was received for David until yesterday.
• At lunchtime yesterday, Real Madrid made its first offer to buy David. A deal was agreed between the clubs, which included Navas being transferred to Old Trafford. The deals were dependent on each other.
• In the last several hours of the process, with Navas at the Real Madrid training ground, Real Madrid were controlling the documentation processes of David, Navas and Real Madrid. Manchester United was in control only of the documentation of Manchester United.
• Manchester United sent transfer documents for both players to Real Madrid at 2042 BST. David’s documentation was returned by Real Madrid to Manchester United without the signatory page at 2232 BST.
• At 22:40 BST, minutes before the deadline, major changes to the documentation came through to Manchester United which immediately put the deals at risk. • Only at 2255 BST were the documents that are needed to cancel David’s contract received by Manchester United from Real Madrid.
• At this point Navas’ documentation was still not returned by Real Madrid.
• At 2258 BST, the transfer agreement was sent back by Manchester United, uploaded onto TMS and accepted – all before the deadline.
• It is our understanding that the deals couldn’t happen because:
o Real Madrid didn’t upload David’s documents onto TMS in time (Manchester United did)
o Real Madrid didn’t upload David’s documents to the Spanish league in time, per reports it seems some 28 minutes after the deadline
• The fact that Manchester United filed the papers on time was acknowledged by the Football Association, who offered to support that claim in any discussions with FIFA. The Club offered this assistance, as well as its own timestamped documents to Real Madrid but they have chosen not to go down this route.
Manchester United acts appropriately and efficiently in its transfer dealings. The Club is delighted that its fan-favourite double Player of the Year, David de Gea, remains a Manchester United player.
Phil Neville just saying on the BBC that the Spanish goalkeeping coach, who he works with at Valencia, wanted De Gea to move to Spain.
Puts a slightly different spin on it, and maybe he's been told by the NT that he'll only be the #1 if he moves back to Spain?
Not a chance he will be in the team for Liverpool, if he does play again it will be a few weeks.
LvG has got to get him in wanting to play for us again, that is going to be hard, he was already a RM player in his head.
