Did he make the CL squad?
When you say it like that... Have we ever seen Perez and the entire organisation of ISIS in the same room? Coincidence? I think not!He is going to blame Madrid, that's for sure. Then again, he would probably blame Perez for ISIS.
United's stance was no deal unless on clubs terms. Madrid had to chase the deal.
4th place won't look like a win. That was last year's target, not this year. Re Romero, ofcourse he isn't as good, let's just hope de gea comes in asap. An odd mistake here and there won't change much, every keeper makes them.
But they didn't until the last minute and now we are in this uncertain situation. Feels like Madrid deliberately fecked us over. I know most people disagree, but in my view, we should have tried to resolve it earlier.
He will want to play as well after the Spanish managers comment. DDG in goal with Valdes on the benchAfter our statement ("happy to still have him here") and DDG's general behavior through this saga, there's absolutely no way DDG doesn't end up playing for us.
I think the FSW wants him, but as with anything to do with Perez, he has no say in the matter. They will still be lining up to join and then cry when they are mistreated..You have to feel pity for Navas..he knows now that he is clearly not wanted..if he were smart, he should be looking to get out of there next season..Good perfomances this season wont help him whatsoever..ask Diego Lopes.

Oh, if we look at our squad, we will struggle to get goals and will be iffy against good teams. I can already list you the excuses:
- He was given 3 years.
- Another transition period. Too many changes to the team.
- He is laying the foundation for the next manager.
- Injuries fecked us over, man, or we would have won the league.
- A true fan is the one who likes his team coming 4th while playing shit football.
- No one plays good football and everyone finishes 4th.
- yada, yada, yada.
We already have dropped one or three points, depending how you see the two Swansea goals, with Romero in goal. Every keeper makes mistakes, every Messi hits the post once in a while - we'd struggle with our goalkeepers because Romero he is not very good, Valdes is not allowed and De Gea is sad.
The margins are very small in this league. The way City are going, makes them even smaller.
I think that De Gea has 2 options, a new contract with a low release clause, leaving next year for 20/25m or stay the whole year without a renewal. In that case I guess that he would receive Madrid 10m€ compensation, although in theory that is not legal. I think that he will renew to calm the things with fans and Van Gaal.
I can´t see too much punishment for Florentino in Madrid. He managed(accidentally) to save money and keep the goalkeeper that Bernabeu wanted. People will forget about all this as soon as the next soap opera starts (Bale,Isco, Rafa,Iker in Porto..). I can´t speak about other Madrid fans but I wouldn´t chant his name. I wouldn´t want an unhappy player in my team, and less forcing him to stay against his will![]()
That's just a perspective thing. How you see the situation. Most and certainly all in this case are valid. No ones in disagreement but maybe there are things we've not considered or given enough time to or perhaps we're thinking more in the other brain hemisphere. The point is, as the selling club - if you instigate conversations not only are you undermining what you've said to them prior, but you are also saying you want the money and that means that they will offer less...so from a negotiation stand point, it makes sense that we wait for them and I don't think the club lied. I think we'll play him and try to tie him down. We don't want to sell him but if we lost him on a free? We can handle it. Maybe that's partly why we've not spent that much this summer. Maybe it's tied into a move for Kane or someone next summer. Maybe we want to give it one more go as I said, to tie him down. At the end of the day, if next week he signs a new contract, would you still think United were wrong? Probably not...But if they said there was a release clause, I bet you'd feel uneasy about it. Well let's set the bar high but I think most would rather keep him.
Just what everyone was waiting for, for this clown to voice his opinion on the matter.Apparantly Calderon is on Talk Shite in a minute, I can't listen to it though.

So is DDG going to make a huge fuss about this all? Or not give a feck anymore?
Or will he stay professional, which I pray to god he will. We need that fecker in our goal.
Mate, I never said that we should have initiated contact with Real to sell De Gea. There are other ways to resolve the situation, and I have mentioned those in my earlier posts.
The bold part: I would be delighted. I have suggested the release clause myself in my earlier posts, so I would be delighted with that too.
This is my last post in this thread as I feel like we are going around in circles. We'll just have to agree to disagree.
Finally, someone who doesn't have a hard-on for Valdes. I'll never understand why half the Caf seems to be in love with him.Feck that. We need to get rid of that chancer pronto.

DEL BOSQUE: "Si DAVID DE GEA no juega con el Manchester United tendrá muy difícil venir con la selección a la Eurocopa de Francia"
Apparently, Del Bosque has said that he has to play for United to get selected for Euros.
Can we use this to get him to sign that extension with a buyout clause, if required, which justifies his value.

You cannot play a keeper in a tournmanet - regardless how good he is - if he doesn't play for a year. This is what I don't like. Del Bosque is a dinosaur and people like him who probably think he should play in Spain. De Gea was ready in the last championships and IF you got a scenario where they didn't pick De Gea - they have no one to blame but themselves. It would hurt the player and it would hurt Spain. De Bosque would be smart to praise De Gea's character and say he's sure he'll learn from it but I guess Del Bosque is a fool

What Del Bosque is saying makes completely sense. De Gea needs to play in order to be picked. It is something that almost every manager would say.
Finally, someone who doesn't have a hard-on for Valdes. I'll never understand why half the Caf seems to be in love with him.
Being Madrid manager doesnt really mean you are in charge as some personnel decisions are made by Perez..You still get fired for poor results though, no matter the effect of Perez's decisions..I think the FSW wants him, but as with anything to do with Perez, he has no say in the matter.

Keeping him here makes no sense. We have three keepers I'd rather see in goal so we should have just released him if we couldn't find a buyer. I'm really not sure how or why he's still here.Does anyone know what's going top happen with him? From what i recall we didn't even give him a squad number, does that mean he's not registered with us and he can't play?
Seems a bit ridiculous, he must be on a fair bit of money, leaving him in the stands for the whole season doesn't make sense.

I think Del Bosque is saying that if De Gea doesn't play for United at all this season, it will be tough for him to play at Euros. Which will be stand of any coach/manager. You are not going to play a keeper who hasn't played for a year directly at Euros. That's all hypothetical to me though and I am sure Van Gaal will play him regularly this season. We should still use playing him regularly as a condition to get him sign contract extension. Somewhat subtly though, making him feel all loved first, convincing him how Real Madrid are the ones who screwed his dream etc etc
This is already close to my favourite transfer saga ever. If DDG signs contract extension, it will be undoubtedly be the favourite.

10. In short, the Real Madrid has made everything you need, and at all times, to carry out these two transfers
Yeah, I know but we could have just paid off his contract or something. Though that's pretty much the same as having to pay his wages for a year so doesn't really matter. We can't release him we got him to sign a contract, the whole situation is a mess.
What is there not to get? I know what the guy is saying but do you think De Gea is stupid? No. Do you think De Gea would know that? Probably. So it would be better to say, " I wouldn't be able to pick him but i'm sure he will work hard and that will resolve things". Maybe he said that or that's how it's been reported - either way, I think De Gea should have been Spains number one for the last two years and those lazy bums ignored his form. Maybe because he played in England? Bit of a silly way to look at things and I don't like that attitude as it puts pressure on the player to return to Spain. It would be nice of them to have supported him and recognized he was their best goalkeeper
