United have a decision to make come the end of the season. Guardiola, Ancelotti, Mourinho (if you're desperate) could all be available. He's had money, he's had time, he's running out of excuses. Three games, five hours of football and no goals to show for it isn't good enough. If you really wanted a positive you've kept three clean sheets in a row, but that's now really something the biggest clubs should be celebrating.
The problem is we can't compare ourselves to the biggest Clubs player quality wise. Our attackers are shite bar Martial but he is 19!!!, you can't expect to roll over teams with these players.
Yes he is making a mistake with Rooney, but the alternatives to him if he was to be benched is shady at best.
Martial - Fantastic talent, cannot praise him enough.
Young - Player with limited ability, he does seem to get most out of it though.
Depay - Bad start to the League, let's see how he adapts.
Rooney - Declining, rapidly.
Mata - How influential is he really? Can play football though.
Lingard - Unproven
Pereira - Unproven
Wilson - Unproven
We are just nowhere near Bayern, Barca, Real and some other clubs that have one player that is star quality of which we lack.
Some people use the "but he had the Money so he could just have bought the attacking players", it's just not that simple when the players with the required quality is at the hands of top 3 clubs or PRL sides who would never sell to us.
Instead we have to go for the likes of Depay and Martial and it takes time for such young players to shine, if they ever will.
This was never a two year project, the rebuild has been massive, the squad really was a big shambles. I will judge LvG properly when we finally get the attacking players needed.
