Been one of LvG's biggest critic, but not going to complain about the players he has signed, love all the signings except maybe Rojo. Problem i have is the way he is using those players and some of the players that he sold. Yes, there was garbage that he needed to clean out, but if he was anywhere near his reputation of a good coach, then he would have managed to get performances out of the players he sold.

Nor me. I can't say I completely trust the way the club is run anymore. Some of our recent decisions have been baffling. I do share your concerns regarding the structure of the club (above the manager). It's funny, because United used to be thought of as the best run club, and now we have all these concerns.
I am happy with how we've set out in the last few games, against West Ham we missed a lot of chances and Wolfsburg was mainly individual errors for the goals, we could have won 5-3 on another night.
I do think we lack quality more than anything, If he had Messi Neymar and Suarez instead of Rooney Lingard and Mata we would be winning the league by miles. Injuries don't help but then chopping the squad short is his own fault, we could have more options.

So Van Gaal's been average but not bad enough to quite justify sacking. Is our concern about being fair holding us back? I can't help thinking we should just make the tough decision and just sack him and do what we can to get Pep. We should have done this when Klopp was available. Being fair is great but the best decision is what is truly best for the club. A Klopp or a Gaurdiola is far better for us than Van Gaal imo. The harshness of the decision would soon be forgotten once the football improved

LvG's two biggest mistakes were his belief in Depay and Rooney. If both of them had been performing on a higher level things would look a bit rosier than they do at the moment. LvG clearly must understand that we need to sign an established striker and winger, but can he do it January and save our season?
At least we have the resources to buy a Neymar or a Bale, Norwich do not. I would be happy if we can sign Mane and/or Mahrez in January, then we can lodge big bids for Bale in the summer.

Bit unfair onMemphis but his gamble on Rooney has backfired badly.
Which him being apparently such a good manager and seemingly ignoring all the evidence that Rooney wouldn't do as he thought is negligent and seems like he made his mind up very quickly that Rooney would and Hernandez wouldn't do what was hoped, and to me he's failed both players because Hernandez would have helped us and Rooney has done the opposite.
This. A change in mentality, approach and tactics. I can't believe the amount of people who believe that we need Neymar type players to perform better.

Injuries obviously played a massive part of today but so did the substitutions. No idea if Jones had 30 mins in him but why did we take fellaini off during a period where the young defenders were looking increasingly shaky and make midfield weaker when we just needed to get some control back and keep plugging away?
Young for one of the fullbacks and ideally Jones if possobke earlier would have made much more sense to me.

He needs to go. We all knew before we signed him that Van Gaal has a tendency to go off the boil and screw around after a while. I fear that he has now reached that phase with us.

Moyes had that budget. He was just too much of a coward in the end, which is why he only ended up with Fellaini that too just at the end of the window.
Now if someone had come in and bought these players for him, I agree he probably would've done a similar job.
He had that budget and couldn't decide who he wanted to sign or went after players like a 6 year old trying to ask a girl on the playground out. So in the end he bought Fellaini, who's price had gone up while Moyes had his thumb up his arse.
After tonight, the questions I would be asking myself if I was Woodward will be:
- Can this man take the club forward?
- Will it be wise to give him another 100m-150m when he hasn't done very well with the previous 250m?
- What are the chances that it can go all tits up? Do we sack him and try to salvage this season? Can we afford another season out of the top 4?
- If we give him the can, who do we replace him with? Carlo? Giggs? Beg Fergie to come back?
- What I am doing in this job? I am completely out of my depth here. Should I go back to the commercial side before I get canned?

Another criticism that falls at his door is the lack of leaders.
He's had 2 summers and the only genuine leaders we have our BFS (who is currently struggling himself) and probably Chris Smalling.
