So hypothetically speaking @Jerch, if it did become legal for same sex couples to adopt in Slovenia and then one of your sons turned out to be gay, found a partner and said to you 'dad we want to raise a child, do you think we should adopt?', your response would be 'nah, you'll never be as good as any other random heterosexual couple, forget it and think of the children'.

I don't have anything against gay's or lesbian's, one could be a great father, the other could be a great mother. But kid needs both. I am not saying :"you are gay you can't know how to raise a child" or "you are not able to be a father".

In all seriousness, someone was arguing with me about a month or two back saying that we should close the thread on Islam because it was offensive. Well, I'd argue that the views and rhetoric being espoused by Jerch here are a damn sight more offensive that almost anything that was posted in there. But at the same time, it's important for people like him to be able to express themselves so that those ideas can be shown up for the absolute nonsense they are. I'm sure they'll be people reading this nodding in agreement with every word he says, but if the arguments are allowed to stand or fall on their own merits then hopefully some people might give it a re-think. Kids need clothes, food, water, somewhere warm to sleep and people to give them attention. Everything else is surplus to requirements.
As has been said, the number of children who are raised by either single parents or adopted (straight or gay) parents and are perfectly happy, contributing members of society shows that it's not absolutely necessary for the parents to be of each gender/sex. And those that have your so called optimal upbringing of a mother and a father get their morals and life lessons from a wider range of people such as teachers, friends, relatives and more.
Personally I'm not offended by what you've said, but if I was gay and was reading this being told that you're a second class citizen solely because of your orientation I might be.

I don't hate anyone. Never said so. I just said that if you have a kid you will saw what kid needs. For example I am all the time with the kids because my wife usually work afternoon shift, we play and everything, even if my wife is at home they usually rather play with me because i often have more energy and patience for it.
But when it comes to bad time I am never good enough and they always have to go to bad with my wife. Am I second class human because my kid rather go to sleep with my wife then with me. No it is something natural, a natural bond between the mother and a kid which a father and a kid never can have.
Other example is that even if my wife is more strict, when they are really not in the mood to listen they will never calmed down even if she screams as much as she can, but they calm down when I threatened with the punishment (no TV or toys).
This is just an example, there are many more but the point is, if you have a kid you see that he really needs father and a mother.
Jerch is exactly the type of person who in 10 years will be saying "I was totally against it until I found out my kid/cousin/uncle/best friend is gay and now I'm all for it"

To be fair to Jerch, he's probably not the most offensive poster in this thread. That would go to @McUnited, who earlier posted about people marrying animals after I made the interracial comparison on one of the early pages.
