Dire out there. Does nothing a #10 is supposed to do. He's been an absolute non-entity in the position, and not for the first time.
He has been poor recently but I can think of at least 5 names that should leaves this club before Mata. Having said that, he probably does not possess the quality to be a key player for us though.I'm no Mourinho fan, but perhaps he maybe just knew what he was doing when he sold us Mata! His first job, should he become our manager, will probably be to get rid of him again. And no one could really argue. I was really excited by his signing, but he just hasn't been good enough for us.
I would bet my next month's wages that if Mata moves on, he'll shine - like Di Maria and Hernandez have done. The whole team is rubbish at the moment - no confidence, no direction, no leadership.

Wonder what hollow words he will say on his twitter account.
Yeah, fair point. He's screwed if Mourinho comes in though. He was a better player at Chelsea than he is now and still got booted out.
He was Sky's Man of the Match against Chelsea - just supports my argument that the player(s) who have previously been good, haven't lost their talent, just maybe their way.
Totally redundant position, when our weak midfield clearly needs three men in it to protect the defence. Mata shouldn't be playing #10 for us. Nobody should be playing #10 for us. Yet another example of Van Gaal's philosophy being totally unsuited to the squad he has, and the needs of Man Utd.
