Television Gotham - TV series

Really enjoyed the last episode especially the stuff with Gordan in prison.

Enjoyed this episode. Finally got moving to the end of the 'Gordon framed' and 'when the feck is Penguin back' storylines.

Gordon is cleared, Nigma is put away, Penguin returns to the dark side and Barbara re-emerges from the asylum, all in one episode. It could only be Gotham.

I even forgot to add Bruce Wayne reuniting with Alfred to the list. It's like musical chairs.

Still thoroughly enjoying it though.

Was Penguin drinking the ladies blood? I was convinced she was eating the dog at first!

I think so  and me too, didn't expect it to be the kids!

Very good episode . Seems to be ramping up .With all the pieces falling into place and Bruce gradually turning into the man we all know , things are going to hectic over the next few episodes.

Why would Galavan randomly yell "Azrael!"? It's not random after all?

In comic book land Azrael was created by the Order of Dumas (MK Ultra style). I think the writers have just fused Galavan (a product of the Order of Dumas who has no historical role in the comics) with Azrael in order to give some continuity with the faces we see in the show. It'll be interesting to see where they go with it because Azrael ends up working with, and as, Batman in the comics.

Why he decided to scream it upon his reawakening, with no context or prior justification, I don't know.

Well I do, it's because it's Gotham, that's why.

Moving on, they've done a good job with Hugo Strange on the show. I want to punch him every time he appears on screen due to his radiant smugness. There is a fine line between such larger than life villainy and the over-egged, unbearable persona that we saw in Fish Mooney.

My only gripe this week was that there was no Penguin, there is no excuse for that, ever.

Caught up, loving this tbh. I know critics seem to hate it, and it doesnt get the best press, but I really enjoy the take on some of the characters.

Crazy barbara is the best too.

Surely next episode will have Penguin (and probably Nygma too, right?)

Another good episode . That Azrael seems to have stirred up a hornets nest and Strange as menacing as ever.

Azrael is proper badass, much prefer him to default Galavan. I'm just waiting for him to menacingly utter "finish him" to complete the Mortal Kombat vibe he brings to mind.

Agreed, looks cooler too.

Do wonder what role Penguin will play, given he will want to get at Azrael given what happened to Penguins mother.

Penguin at the end was hilarious and badass at the same time with Butch.

Delighted to see Penguin back to his old ways.

I've read there is a surprise next episode that I won't spoil but it may well raise a few eyebrows.

Another good episode

Was that a first sighting of Killer Croc?

I thought that episode was daft beyond belief, not un-enjoyable but just when I think the show is finding it's feet along comes an episode where I just have to laugh. The show has at times displayed potential but inevitably falls back in to being "fun" rather than meaningful/thoughtful.

No, no, no, no, no, no … not her again!
Cuttlefish Mooney, the worst Gotham character ever!

 the surprise got ruined for me by reading about it last week which made it much easier to stomach.
On a positive note, there are so many villains in the show at the moment that you'll barely notice the return as they can only give 3 minutes maximum to each character per episode.

I have no idea whether it's planned to happen but I'd quite like a Jerome reanimation (who doesn't get killed or recaptured within the same bloody episode).

I love this show, but that was just a major cluserfeck.. Let dead people stay dead, this is not the way forward for this show hopefully.. :(

At least they can bring back the joker, I thought it was weird that they "killed" him off.

The villains seem to be ramping up. Nice introduction to Clay face and Hugo Strange plays the character perfectly.

Kept thinking Strange was the pervert one off Dexter but I've just realised he isn't, he's the fella on Jurassic Park. I think I'm a racist.

Jerome is definitely in one of the tanks so I am sure it won't be too long until he re-emerges. Next episode is the season finale so they may be saving it for that.

I hope so. Him being even more wacky than usual would be quite something.

I read her name appear in the opening credits and was like "oh, shes coming back" haha. TBH, given the nature of the show, I dont mind her if its a few episodes. But if its full time, dont think its the best move.

I'm pretty sure that he was the Catolic priest in Oz. It's an interesting narrative, maybe he got insane after all those years working in prison and created his own personal asylum (and lost his hair on the way)
