If we're talking Griffin, I kind of ignore him, given he has zero influence. Was thinking more Boris/Gove/Cameron/Osborne.That ship already sailed.

Hopefully the, shall we say mainstream, politicians won't stoop that low.If we're talking Griffin, I kind of ignore him, given he has zero influence. Was thinking more Boris/Gove/Cameron/Osborne.
Wait for the facts before you start jumping to conclusions. That is what years of hatred would bring. I hope the British people will now realise what is going on and will kick these terrorists out.
Do you know his religion?I see the religion of the gunman isn't important in this case, if he was a muslim we wouldn't have heard the end of it.

Indeed, but it's no wonder our opinions and expectations of them are so low.Hopefully the, shall we say mainstream, politicians won't stoop that low.
Do you know his religion?
Maybe he wasn't religious?

Exactly my point,no? No one has said anything about what religion he was from. Now imagine if he was muslim, all the news would be of a muslim gunman shooting the MP not the MP has been shot and you would have the likes of rednev and silva spouting shit in the thread.

Britain First is the name of a far-Right group which said it was 'not involved and would never encourage behaviour of this sort'. Daniel Blyth, a company director from Birstall, told the paper he saw seven police cars 'racing up' the road to the scene
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said: 'Jo was universally liked at Westminster, not just by her Labour colleagues, but across Parliament.
'In the coming days, there will be questions to answer about how and why she died. But for now all our thoughts are with Jo's husband Brendan and their two young children. They will grow up without their mum, but can be immensely proud of what she did, what she achieved and what she stood for.
David Cameron added: 'The death of Jo Cox is a tragedy. She was a committed and caring MP. My thoughts are with her husband Brendan and her two young children.'
Campaigning for the EU referendum by Britain Stronger in Europe and Vote Leave has been suspended for the day after the attack.
Fellow MPs today sent their best wishes to their colleague as she remained in hospital.
Yvette Cooper wrote: 'Terrible, terrible news. Thoughts and prayers with good friend Jo & with her family.'
Boris Johnson added: 'Just heard the absolutely horrific news about the attack on Jo Cox MP. My thoughts are with Jo and her family.'
And Sadiq Khan tweeted: 'Shocked to hear terrible news about brilliant MP and friend Jo Cox. Thinking of her and praying for her and family.'
A Labour spokesperson said: 'We're aware of the incident that happened this afternoon. All our thoughts are with Jo Cox and her family. We cannot give any further updates at this time.'
Are you intellectually deficient or trolling?
If a Muslim gunman had shot dead an MP, his religion would not just be mentioned for the sake of it...it would be mentioned because it would be highly likely to be relevant to an ongoing issue of Islamic extremists killing people in the name of religion. Assuming he is from a Christian background, I don't think there is any suggestion that this gunman's religion could even be remotely connected to the killing.
No, he's just an arsehole.

Someone has died.
Now is not the time to say oh the press would be different if it was a Muslim doing or trying to score brownie points because the shooter was not Muslim.
These people who commit crimes like this are plain evil.
Do you really see that as a salient point?
I somewhat agree but this incident is politically motivated as are most of the incidents perpetrated by muslims.
When is? Same thing was said when someone made a terror attack on an abortion place in the US and the discussion was shot off completely afterwards.Someone has died.
Now is not the time to say oh the press would be different if it was a Muslim doing or trying to score brownie points because the shooter was not Muslim.
These people who commit crimes like this are plain evil.
But his political views might? Are you intellectually deficient or trolling?

That's the point though isn't it? Even when driven by non-relegious agendas if a guy is a muslim it gets mentioned and the relegion get scrutinized. Then it is the secular political ideology that ought to be referred to, because I don't think there is any suggestion that this is related to religious politics. Mentioning his religion would be a complete waste of time.

May I ask (and I'm honestly not trolling here), what's a good time to have that discussion?
Yes, because of the context of there being an issue of people murdering others in the name of Islam. There is no such issue with Christianity (at least not in UK), thus it would be a waste of time to explore the possibility. If this gunman had walked into an abortion clinic, then his religion would be explored until sufficient evidence emerged to show that it is irrelevant.
If this does turn out to be an attack by someone claiming to be acting in name of Islam, it is important to say that the gunman is not a TRUE representative of Islam. Islam preaches peace and tolerance towards gay people, and there is absolutely nothing at all in the Quran that advocates or justifies violence towards people who practice homosexuality....so there is no discussion to be had. How dare anyone suggest that there is a problem at the heart of the Religion of Peace, Love and Tolerance...that is bigoted hate speech. The 99.9% of Islamic scholars and jurists who have upheld the persecution of gay people in the name of Islam since the 7th century have simply misinterpreted Islam. It is the tiny minority of cosmopolitan Islamic commentators in the West who kinda sorta are willing to give homosexuality a pass in some vague and evasive way who are interpreting the Quran correctly....and the fact that this is convenient for us liberals has nothing to do with it at all.
People in glass houses..Are you intellectually deficient or trolling?
Yeah, I remember that you couldn't move for the exploration of the Planned Parenthood shooter's religion...If this gunman had walked into an abortion clinic, then his religion would be explored until sufficient evidence emerged to show that it is irrelevant.
When we have heard more about why she was targeted. Also it is most likely that religion was not a motivation for this crime. So why are people bringing it up?
That example of the gunman shooting in an abortion clinic he was a christian and had a misguided understanding that was the reason, you don't even have knowledge of this attack but if it was a muslim who did it you'd have definitely remembered.Yes, because of the context of there being an issue of people murdering others in the name of Islam. This was your first post in the orlando thread before his religion was even confirmed, forgive me but I dont see a similar one here? But yeah, its nothing to do with you being a bigot but has to do with individual situations of both the gunmen.
Ever heard of innocent until proven guilty? For every sane person, its the other way around. You dont condemn someone until "sufficient evidence emerges to show that it is irrelevant"
Because religion was also not a motivation for the crimes of the orlando gunman but for a week all the talk was about how islam breeds idiots like him. You had the above post on the third page of that thread by our resident idiot who started spewing his hate speech on an if condition.
Its only fair to highlight the hypocrisy in these situations.

Did I even say that you give them a free pass? If you don't see the point being made here then you are ignorant. You think I'm someone who gives the Christian religion a free pass?
You should look through my post history, especially regarding the Catholic Church.
