Im not sure ive seen a better header of the ball than ronaldo, his leap and power are unreal.

This is an important distinction I think. If you take away Messi's goals he's still one of the best players around, probably still the best. If you take away Ronaldo's he often wouldn't even be in the starting 11. When people say "take away his goals" and someone replies "you can't he scores so many of them" they don't realize that other amazing players did the same thing and weren't receiving a world record amount of chances from a team while contributing little else to the play.
But this is a performances thread so to speak about his play for Portugal: he's been terrible and Portugal would be better without him than with him this tournament.
But yes, even I am impressed with his athleticism and how high he can jump! Pretty amazing.

Agreed. It's remarkable how quickly he developed that skill too. If you'd told Sir Alex back in '03 that the pock-faced teenager with the dodgy hair, teeth and shirt in his office was going to be the best header of the ball in the world, even he probably wouldn't have believed you. Only a few years later he was owning Rome and Chelsea defences in the air like they were kids.
He's actually been pretty terrible, as has Portugal.
Hard work and lots of it .. That's why I admire him more than any other player .he was blessed with talent but not enough to be the best player .. To be that he had to put in the work too .. All that and he pays his taxes on time too
His antics really are tiresome. I don't have much time for Ronaldo nowadays. Still a brilliant player though

Giggs was having the worst period of his career around 30. Didn't score a goal at home for literally years. 2005 FA cup at 32 he was dropped for Fletcher.Then he started to make changes and came thundering back.
Let's at least allow Ronaldo to reach his latter days before we say he couldn't adjust.

Does being a Ronaldo fanboi= judging player's on stats and not performances? He's been good this game but Christ. Apart from this game and half a game against Hungary he has been dire.
He's a magnificent header of the ball but wow has he been awful this tournament. He just does not know what to do with the ball in general play or how to take on players or even make simple passes. He'll get the headlines again but another poor performance. Anyway, if he continues to be rubbish and score in the final, I won't be complaining.
