Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

They'd have gotten De Gea but for their incompetence on deadline day last year, they could have triggered his release clause up until June too.

They'd have signed Kante if they really wanted him, same with Lewandowski who's flirted with them for the past two transfer windows, don't know about Alaba, they've got Marcelo at LB who's a fan favourite, not sure their interest was ever that serious.

Think Pogba was going to be their usual Summer 'Galactico' signing though, not many players in Europe at the moment bigger than Pogba.
DDG decided to stay this summer. Nothing do with a fax machine.
No wonder people always think they get their man when all these excuses are made for players they couldn't get!

Have we even made the bloody bid yet?
Has there been any bloody posts yet?

Seriously, so people expect these questions to lead to people saying "oh yea, just checked and United have confirmed a bid"?

If there's actual news you won't be able to miss it.

Take it how you want, they could have triggered the clause in his contract, they didn't because Navas had a stormer of a season.

Fact is Madrid is seen as the pinnacle of Football to the majority of players nowadays, it's always in the back of my mind when a player of ours starts turning in performance one after another that they'll up and leave for Madrid.

It wasn't meant to be directed to the posters just a show of frustration that after all this transfer talk we still havent got anywhere further than 100 pages ago.

How exactly is 'no news good news'? No news is good news for the side benefiting from the status quo. It makes no sense imo.

I see it differently. All the stuff in the papers last week was posturing and now talks are on-going between clubs. It's guess work, but I highly doubt this transfer is dead like some on here are saying, if it was we would be getting linked or bidding for other players

We are the supporters. We're not the ones conducting the business ;) It seems however you want it too seem but that doesn't make it a reality. Some people are treating this kind of a transfer, like a run of the mill transfer. It's simply not the case. We don't know how advanced anything is. People just have to relax.

@Acquire Me Anything new? Still confident he's coming?
Not trying to derail the chat or trying to call the guy out, but I'm confused how Acquire Me would know. I know he called the Mourinho news months before it happened, but wasn't that because he was works for a company that had 1 meeting with one of United's sponsors or something? Unless he was in regular meetings with said sponsor and they decide to reveal the progress of the Pogba to United deal at every meeting, how would he know? And even if that were the case, surely he still wouldn't know as I doubt the sponsors would be kept up to date in the progression of individual transfers that haven't been concluded yet (the Mourinho one was said to be done months in advance which is why the sponsors supposedly mentioned it in the meeting).

But to keep the comment related and not risk getting thread banned, I think with Pogba, it's fairly simple in that if he tells Juve he wants to move, it'll happen as United wouldn't back down at this stage.

I'm still hopeful we will sign him. A little part of me is worried that he may sign a improved contract with Juve but with a release clause of like 100 million. That could suit Juventus and keep Pogba happy too, if he does want to stay loyal to them and stay another season. Do they allow release clauses in Italy?

I'm still confidant that we will sign him this window though and if we do it will be a exciting season ahead.

He only claimed we are bidding, big, and that it's in Pogba's ball court. Never said it was a done deal etc, like you are making it seem like.

Relax ladies. Dev was only passing along something he read, and also provided a link. If its not credible then jog on.

People started to panic and be all doom and gloom about the Ibrahimovic and Mykitaryan deals as soon as things got a bit quieter on those as well. I think it's usually a good sign, Woody isn't sat around doing nothing and deals this big take time. Things will progress in a few days.

If this deal go thru I'm extremely confident Pogba will be a success close to Rio, Vidic and Evra. Maybe not our star player in every game but one very important brick in Mourinho's building.

With him and Zlatan the club have got two new faces to front our brand. Pogba appeal many youngsters with confident style and flashy approach. I like that. We need new characters in our team. Zlatan is a modern Cantona, totally without respect, full of confidence and a warrior on two legs. He gives an aura of never die attitude.

From my horizont Mourinho's must build his team around our most expensive player. No more mistakes ala de Maria. Depending if he will play as a number eight or ten will decide Rooneys future. I hope we use him as a number ten but Mourinho probably knows best.

Exiting times ahead!!

I'd also ask why were were dwelling on Mourinho's supposed targets like Sanches if he had 'definitely' signed? Anyway Pogba is just i matter of time i think. And if not, we'll be working on someone else that fits Mourinho's requirements. It's no big deal.

That wasn't what I was trying to make it seem. But my question was how does he know? What are his sources? Like I said I'm not trying to call him out or anything, but I am genuinely curious as to why so many on here go to him for up to date info on the matter.

half of them just want something to satisfy them for the day. So when its quiet at least he can give them some words of encouragement even if its the same thing he repeats as nothing has actually happened.

Bayern wouldn't have sold him. We offered 100m euros for Muller last year and Bayern said no. Id Imagine they would want over that figure for Lewa.

I'm positive Pogba and Riola have been convinced by the project and money. Just a matter of negotiating instalment terms with Juve.
