I think Real are trying to offload a couple of players to get back in this one. Problem for them is they need to maximise the sales in order to raise the cash. Not sure they'll get what their expecting for a couple of their players... unless they are willing to let go of one of their stars. The article of AS

"In recent talks between Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, and Real Madrid, which took place last week, the white club interlocutor requested more time to value how they can do the operation. The figures being considered for the transfer, 120 million euros, are not assumable now for the white entity. To approach should make a big sale, and the lack of definition of the project can not develop a short-term strategy. United are very close to closing the transaction, has almost done, but the player has no hurry to sign. His dream is still to be under the command of Zidane. A dish that taste much better for him that a return to United, who didn´t know how to appreciate him for years, although the seductive Mou has already saved this pitfall.
Raiola's statements a few days ago, in which he said that "Pogba is happy at Juve, in no hurry to leave. He might even renew occurred after Madrid asked for more time. He is trying to cool the atmosphere. Interested in extending the saga to get bigger slice (ask for 20 million commission). Vecchia Signora sources have confirmed to AS that the renewal of the player has not been raised. "If he stays we are happy, but we are making up the squad thinking that he is leaving". Mino Raiola is who is taking the issue personally. Juve has told him that the price is from 100 to 120 million (the price is lower if paid in cash) and, when present in the offices of Vinovo, will be assessed. Madrid need time ... United presses. No more galacticos in the market."
In the second part of the article they write about Madrid debt, 620m€ and for which they have to sell before buying. In my opinion AS is not a Madrid mouthpiece although is a pro-Madrid newspaper, without hesitation, not like Marca that is more "global". Florentino sued Relaño (As director) for an article about the debt.
The last year they were the first writing about the talks of Ramos agent and United.
Personally I think there is nothing unless Pogba speak publicly . I just read the print edition of Marca and they assume that Gomes will sign for Madrid.
Id fully accept United getting Kroos if they get Pogba. Every day of the week.
