500 million euros a year? What?

my bad, meant 500k/week.

"Lionel Messi signed a 5 year deal with Barcelona in 2013 which made him second highest paid footballer with weekly salary of £256,000 a week after tax which means he cost Barcelona around £500,000 a week if we include the tax barcelona has to pay on his salary which 52% in spain."

Lets say you were an up and coming software engineer/coder and Apple (biggest tech company in the world) wanted you to go work for them. You don't think you would request a pretty high salary?
I would accept whatever they offered unless it was less than what I'm on now.

wow. is Pobga a slave? I thought that shit ended like a century ago. jesus.

Slave? You missed something there, Juventus will pay Raiola because he joined them for nothing, that's his money from the initial transfer, he negotiated 20%. He doesn't own Pogba.

Funny if true.

Seems the only thing holding up the deal is the agent fees.

L'Equipe did say it was 120 mil + bonuses, so everything Di Marzio has reported falls in with what they said I believe.

what a joke of a club. jesus. and their fans have the audacity to consider themselves among the europe's elite?

I bet they'd have made Neymar's dad pay THEM 80,000,000 under the table just to have the honor of playing for their balck-and-white outdated club.

when you start paying agent fees and shady backroom bribes to parents, then you can talk about being a big club. for now, you are below spurs.

No worries :)

 Will you shut up. Repeatedly calling a club a joke for wanting more money. You must be a rubbish negotiator.

You guys just don't realize the impact Pogba will have in this team. We are also stocked with a lot of supportive players. Only injuries can stop us.
I do understand, TRUST ME!!! But lets not get too carried away at the same time

Personally, I love how Juventus do business, they are rich but know that money doesn't come from chickens' bum

Surely that 20% was an agreement between Juve and Raiola which tilted the balance in Juve's favour when they signed Pogba initially!

Truly an incredible bitch move to try and renegade on that.

What a classless club.

Obviously. However, given we will likely be losing our most marketable player (Rooney) over the coming years, a player like Pogba (who you'd think we could build up in terms of marketability) will probably come in handy.

Our various noodle partners want stars on their packets and we're a bit short of them generally.

I Believe this, trust me  They are really cheapos, Part of the reason why I figured their spending spree was fueled by our soon to be Pogba purchase

He's one of our own,
He's one of our own,
Paul f*cking Pogba,
He just went on loan.

 Saw this earlier.

You're all acting like we're trying to barter with a shopkeeper for a fecking Freddo bar. The money involved here is enormous, why the hell wouldn't the club try to get as much as possible?

Let's be honest, Raiola is a fecking genius when it comes to money. The man is set for life from this deal alone.

Ah to be a footballer's agent....

Rubbish. No team in the league can currently handle this team. It's built for the league right now.

Only thing really standing in the way is INJURIES!
Take it easy. You're getting way ahead of yourself. Pogba isn't confirmed yet.

Yeah true.

Feel like we could have potentially got more for Ronaldo back in 2009 too. Still thought it was odd we didn't want 1 of their castaways back then. Could have been used in the deal.

Made me piss my pants laughing don't know why, you even have my wife laughing too.

How old are you and how long have you been working? Once you reach a certain age, you don't just accept whatever a company offers you. Its about knowing your value. Oh and Pogba doesn't particularly want to leave, he needs to be enticed. Just like if Apple wanted to take an exec of a smaller company, they will offer him an insane salary to join them.

Way of the world.
