Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

I don't understand Juve. I expected them to put up a better fight than this. How are they going to solidify a CL winning core now?

Still a club that I respect a lot, and probably Top 2 most well ran club right now. No shade thrown.

The team isn't built around Pogba, he isn't essential. In fact outside of Chiellini and Bonucci no one is essential, Dybala might be in the future though.

Too many cocky posts saying done dealio and trolling Madrid and Juve supporters it's going to be unbearable here if we get gazumped.

Hope we pull it off though but will wait till Club confirms it.

Wait this is a muppet thread. We can't actually buy him....

Di Marzio is saying Juventus want us to pay Raiola's percentage of the deal by offering more money, so that's what I meant.
We could pay them the €120m that they wanted. Chances are if he improved dramatically, Real Madrid would come sniffing as they usually do, and if we were to sell, we could absolutely rinse them.
Of course, if we were to get him and Real came sniffing, i'd rather us tell them to do one

I'm not convinced it's as close to being done as people think. It reminds me of Sneijder and Vidal debacles where we were reported to have agreed a deal for them numerous times and it came to nothing.
I was here during those transfer sagas (Sneijder and Vidal) and the media reports on those two players were nowhere near close to what they're for Pogba. For starters, Di Marzio maintained that we had no contact with Juventus over Vidal throughout that transfer saga. There were a lot of bs media reports from Chile. My memory of Sneijder transfer saga is not as good but from what I recall, the media reports were nowhere near concrete. There was a whole lot of muppet speculation in that one (same with Vidal) just because we were so desperate for a world class midfielder.

IMO, Pogba is a done deal, it's just a matter of time until we agree the final fee with Juventus (unless it has already happened). When we're willing to spend over a 100 million euros on a player, a few additional million euros won't stop us from seeing this through. At the same time, obviously we have to negotiate and can't give in to Juventus' demands right away.

That Hash bloke seems a bit of a bellend. He's loving the attention I think.

Twitter is an odd place.

Where are people getting these quotes from isn't it past midnight in Italy.

Can't imagine an owner or director picking up the phone to some journo.

He isn't essential per se, but I'd argue that he made their midfield elite - maybe best in Europe. They still have a formidable midfield but one that lacks dynamism right now IMO.

I'm sure he loves people retweeting him here as it increases his followers.

In fairness "no contact between United and Juve" could technically be true

These big deals sometimes are done by third parties, in this case Raiola. I remember United leaked that they signed Juan Mata without once speaking to Chelsea directly

Just got back from seeing Guardiola lose at the Allianz Arena which makes it a good day, even better one now that Pog is in everyone's mouth. For a long time i've got a hard on.

We're gonna win the fecking league!

I think Sneijder confirmed that he was in talks with United and he felt at one point that he was going, but after Inter sold Eto'o they had no intention of letting Sneijder so.
I'm sure at the time it was a case of one of them were to go, and Eto'o went first. So the reports of us being interested and being close to signing him were true, to the point where he thought he was going, but they fell through due to Eto'o going.

The reports about Pogba seem to be a lot more concrete and a lot of journo's are putting out the same info. Of course we have the whole Woodward not going on the tour due to transfer business stuff which brings back memories, but i personally think this time it's the real deal

Any spanish speakers can tell us what it says on the left hand side with the picture of Pogba, our badge and 120M?

EDIT

Def sounds like we're going to make it happen. The kind of money no object signing that we prob promised Mourinho to convince him to work again.

Bookies believe it's close 1/10 odds and paddy power taking down the Pogba next club market:boring:
