hhhmmmm is Eds face the look of " shit how do i tell jose hes not having pogba, just smile and stay cool" !

I'm at a party and there is a dude with a Juventus shirt on, never seen a Juve fan in jamaica, Is this a bad omen :nervous:
I was at the beach today and there was a dude in the middle of the beach with a Juventus shirt on. You don't see too many Juve shirts in Denmark, but what was even stranger was the fact that he was wearing it on the beach when it's nearly 30 degrees Celsius/86 Fahrenheit. Maybe it's an omen.

This is what I mean with my own question. As in we have our limits with how much we are willing to spend but not to the point that we're willing to be ripped off or simply have the piss taken out out of us.

Yep. We have a valuation on a player and we won't go above that. There's no doubt whatsoever that Juve want this €100m+. He's a midfielder and replaceable. In future if a club knows we will pull out and they'll miss out on that huge pay day, they'll think twice about taking the piss.

Couldn't agree more.

Is that one of the Glazers in the background?

Yes.

What you all need is a random number generator, or it can be done with a dice if you have one handy. Generate a number from 1-6 and just post the corresponding comment variation:

1. It's on! (+ Masturbation reference)
2. (Di Marzio Quote)
3. I have a feeling that Real Madrid will sneak in at the last minute (+ sad looking smiley)
4. (A comparison with a past transfer saga that ended negatively) + re-roll and use corresponding player (1. Vidal, 2. Thiago, 3. Sneijder, 4. Neymar, 5. Bale, 6. Ronaldinho - only use 6 if over 30, otherwise re-roll)
5. (Long-winded account of Juve's financial situation)
6. This thread is (great and/or stupid and/or crazy - delete as appropriate)

No worries Jose, it's a done deal.

'I 'ave it in me pocket, come, put your hand in it m8'.

This deal has all the signs similar to the Vidal speculation

The thing is with Vidal we were close but Bayern swooped him away for under noses. The transfer fee was around 40m however and not 120m+ so I think it is highly unlikley some team will sweep Pogba away from under noses. I really think United is the only team that want and can pay so much money for him this season.

If it was done, then it would have been done by last night, as it takes a fair few hours to fly to China from Italy/England. But didn't Di Marzio give an update this morning that a fee wasn't agreed?
Chances are he's been given information that Juventus want him to have. We don't know what went on at discussions between United and Juve. Maybe they don't want anything announced or they've deliberately said they want more money to throw people off. I don't know, but how common is it for an agreed fee to change, assuming of course we have agreed a fee with Juve

If juve wanted 120 and now want more, it'll have to be a waiting game. See if they panic once they sign Higuain.

Let's not forget that IF pogba stays, he will want a huge pay increase. Is that something juve can offset with higuain also on the wage bill? I very much doubt it.

I think it Will be a good ending, but not this week.

feck sakes we're fooked

Could be, if the dude is Pogba.

He's tall dark and has a funky hairstyle, does that count?

Hasn't it always been said that Juventus want €120m? So it makes sense that Juventus want more if we've offered €110m + €10m add ons. Nothing to worry about tbh.

Doubt Juve wanted something else and wants more now. I don't expect petty pissing about from professional organisations. Either we are just fine tuning the details of the agreement or have gone in slightly lower than what the initial demands were and figuring out a deal that satisfies everyone.

I'm off to watch a game later and I'll make sure to ask the higher ups if Woodward's an embarrassment.

Just reading on twitter that Sky Italia are saying Juve have rejected our improved offer and we have no intention of going back in with a better offer.

Think that might be it.
I've looked on their website and on their twitter and there is absolutely nothing on there at all. Plus if they had actually said it on air, there would be some kind of proof out there by now

:nervous: If that's really true, this is almost the Vidal saga all over again.

Not that anyone cares what I believe I'm sure but I am still 100% confident we will sign him. Besides I can't pull back now. If I turn out to be wrong it will at least be character-building. Kind of like fagging for the prefect at boarding school style character-building but character-building all the same.

Link?

That ''utreport'' account need to be blacklisted. They twist things so much for RT's.

£100m is 120m euros right? If they rejected that, I doubt we will go with a better offer. The amount of money involved would be beyond ridiculous if we did and I don't even care about fees and money.

They had to pay more than they wanted for Higuain and probably want more for Pogba to make up for it...

Heres one of the articles that say United have had a €120m bid rejected by Juventus.
This is pretty much what every single one is saying:

Paul Pogba is set to return to Manchester United this summer—but it seems Juventus and Man Utd have not still been able to reach an agreement as to how much the English side is to pay.

According to reliable Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzioo, Juventus have rejected a bid of €120m from Manchester United.

Manchester United is said to be offering €110m + €10m bonuses for Pogba but it is believed that the offer does match the valuation set by Juventus.

The website says “if Pogba is to be sold it will be for the right price, on Juve’s conditions and without discounts.”

Now correct me if i'm wrong, but where did it say in his article that we've had a bid rejected? It says Juventus want more, but it doesn't say anywhere that a bid has been rejected?

Whatever that was it's been deleted
It was 'utdreport' twitter handle quoting Crerand: Paddy Crerand: "I have been in the journalist room at the press conference and they're all saying the Pogba deal is 'done and dusted'."

Well one thing is for sure. If we don't end up with him, I'm never ever going to be pulled into another transfer thread until I see 'XXXX: signed, sealed and delivered'...
Same here. It would be so anticlimactic and feel like such a waste of time

It's been widely reported they don't want add ons, they want 120M up front. Not surprised they said no tbh.

As long as it isn't signed it can always fall through
