Mention a few similar players who would be available that can play at a similar level to Pogba.Matuidi is not the only available midfielder in the world.

You mean if Juve want they can make a million Euro EYI for 94 years to pay Napoli?
I can't wait to see "BBC: Pogba having medical" in the title of this thread.Cant wait to see Paul Pogba thread in United forum.
It's more unnerving that someone is wearing a football shirt to a party tbf![]()
Eh?Surely Woodward won't allow himself to look foolish yet again, being unable to land a big target. He's already the laughing stock amongst CEO's of major clubs.
Not if they activated the release clause. Will they not have to pay the amount at Serie A's offices if they bypassed Juve and activated the clause?
Weren't the three musketeers during the Herrera comedy episode at the LaLiga offices?
Not buyout fees though.

Both clubs will discuss about it, but a buyout clause leads to free agency while a release clause is just a transfer fee set by contract.
Are we there yet?23001 posts already. We only need an another y record. Come on muppets, lets do it before the saga is concluded!
What I read was the Napoli refused to talk about it, so Juve bypassed them and activated the clause. I guess someone is lying then.
With a 100m to burn there will be a few who can be made available.
Also, there are different ways to skin a cat. What is Pogba's current level? Can you say with certainty that Jose wants to play him as a box to box midfielder, or does he want him as the more attacking midfielder in three?
You don't always get the same type of player with the same abilities; you adjust. You get Carrick for Keane and make it work.
Yep. If there's a clause in Pogba's contract that states they have to pay a portion of his transfer fee to the agent, trying to push that off onto the buying club just reeks. They were happy enough to include the clause to secure his signature in the first place. If they don't at least compromise on it I'd be happy to pull out.I'd love Pogba here but out of principle you can't just be held to ransom in every negotiation, even Levy had his limits! When a Zidane led Madrid baulk at a fee you know you're being taken to the cleaners. Tell them where to go.
Can Woody fly an F35?

Well, I have seen numerous papers use the terms buyout clauses and release clauses in the same articles, as if it was the same.
I don't think the club is going to pay 100m for another midfielder. Pogba is a top class player already, and he has the potential to be world class very soon - however, he is also unique in the sense that he is the type of player that can be the face of the club marketing wise.
I mean that, up to now, he has claimed or leaked that we are in for several marquee players like Neymar, Bale, Vidal, Ramos, Ronaldo, Messi but not signed one of them. Hopefully this will be the one where he gets it right.
I am not saying that the club is going to spend a 100m on another midfielder. I am saying that with a 100m available there are other midfielders we can find and not restrict ourselves to Matuidi, as the other poster eluded.
Manchester United can make any face a marketing juggernaut. We are the brand, not Pogba or anyone else.
Genuine question - what makes people think that Pogba is one of the more recognizable and marketable players in world football? Is there any truth to it or are people making it up to justify their muppet needs?
There wasn't any falling out per se. His head was spun by his cnut of an agent and Fergie didn't want to bend over backwards for an 18 year old. In those days we were still the top dogs not Galatico chasing 5th/7th place finishers that we have become now.
He went to Juve and got himself game time and his agent probably got a hefty commission & this 20% clause; though if my memory is serving me right, there were a few issues in the beginning at Juve too. Now everyone wants to get paid and we want a top player.
Is it a boring party?I mean you're checking redcafe at a party.

I think it's a done deal. All about posturing now to make sure all the timing works for all parties.
Just agree to supply Raiola with a lifetime supply of Gabagool.
This transfer is exactly where it was 5 days ago.

Keysie sticking with it!
His skills, long shots ("Pogboom") and like it or not his hairstyle and the swaggerish way he carries himself are all a part of it. He also got a big presence in social media. Then you also have the spin of him returning to his old club as a super star.
Is he just saying that as he was sacked by Sky a few years ago, or is Sky Italia a different company?
Fair enough.
Still think United can make any top player marketable. Rooney has consistently been one of the most recognizable faces on the planet despite being mediocre for 4 years.
I read it as him basically saying they're rubbish and/or unreliable.

His release clause was structured that way. There was a "deadline" until the end of July too, if my memory serves me well. There is definitely something fishy about that. I read that the Napoli chairman and the one eyed wonder had a meeting in which he was made aware that nothing below the release clause will be accepted. Then I read that Juve bypassed Napoli, activated his release clause & he had medical, but somehow will pay 47m this season and 47m next season. How does that work?
