Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

120 million € is a ridiculous amount of money for Pogba already, if they're not willing to accept that, then they can sell him to Real for 80 or 90 because after their spending this summer, I doubt they can afford to not unload Pogba.

We're setting a precedent for being a cow that can be milked at will.

If Pogba is not willing to push Juve for a move, then all the leverage we have is standing firm and seeing how desperate they are.

This is like buying a player from Levy. I wonder if United have a deadline for when they will switch targets. When discussing transfers in the press conference Mourinho was quite adamant about not leaving the fourth signing too late.

If Juve won't accept €120m and pay Raiola his share from that amount, then they can feck off.

There is a limit imo.

I agree. For that kind of dough we could buy a world class CM, a top CB, a RW to back up Mikhi and a top RB if Darmian goes.

The law of diminishing returns must kick in at some point. €145 for Pogba ain't good business.

switch targets? if Woodward doesn't pull this off it will haunt him for the rest of his career, he will never live it down from a PR p.o.v

Not only is the narrative that United want Pogba, it's that Mourinho is desperate to get him and United doing everything possible to make it the happen.

That applies to the media too. I'd wager that only Pogba, Raiola, Woodward, The Glazers, Moratti, Jose and Allegri are 100% in the know. Everyone else is just piecing stuff together or completely making up stories.

You forgot acquire me on the in the know list

Which world class CM?

Name the world class midfielder, top CB, top right back, and winger we could buy.

We all know what happened the last time Juventus smashed their own transfer record. S Stay calm muppets, a few more days at most.
The player they smashed their transfer record with was Nedved, who was also a Raiola player. :D

He tried for Bale, Neymar, Muller, etc. All failed. Pogba will just be another name to add to the list. No big deal.

For the record I think the deal is definitely done.
What are the odds like now, at bookmakers - are they still taking bets?

** repeat **

All based on the assumption that the following information is correct.

1/ Raiola + Juventus have a contract stating that Juventus have obligation to pay a 20% fee of any future transfer of Pogba.
2/ After preliminary agreement on fee between Man Utd and Juve, Juve then insist Man Utd pay agents fee

This is how it should be done.

1/ Man Utd in coordination with Raiola should have a legal binding document between themselves stating that both parties are in acknowledgement that Juve are essentially blackmailing Man Utd by attempting to invalidate the contract between Raiola and Juve re 20% fee.
2/ Man Utd should pay the agreed fee to Juventus and Raiola's 20% fee
3/ Use the legally binding document made between Man Utd + Raiola to sue the feck out of Juventus.
4/ Make sure that the legal case is dragged out in the public domain using ALL means neccessary to make it clear what type of underhanded club Juventus are and in the process destroying all notion of the 'romance' that the name Juventus once had.
5/ After winning the legal case against Juventus make it clear that Man Utd stand for freedom, honesty and integrity

And finally

Feck Juventus

** EDIT **
Oh and please have pity on a fellow n00b muppet, redcafe member and help me to the realms of manhood

You're making Juventus out to be an unethical club, let me guess what's next, they are involved in match fixing?

Yes he tried for those but none of them ever looked likely.

Now the narrative for the biggest deal of all has been that United are on the verge of signing Pogba and smashing the world record to do it. I think he get it done, but if this deal doesn't go through the narrative will be that Woodward fecked it up and his reputation for screwing up big deals will be cemented for ever

The agent fee will be sorted soon enough. In SSN the woman said the deal is very advanced. I'm still confident.

If Matuidi is average, then every midfielder we have right now on our books is crap!
They are crap. But you don't sign average players just because we have crap. We need top players like Pogba to reach the top. We shouldn't settle for average.

No CEO in football has such an illustrious list of failed targets.

Our midfield is average, that's the problem. Matuidi would increase the numbers without increasing the quality. I'd rather we overpaid for someone who is going to significantly improve us.

Should've just got Pjanic. Can't believe we didn't even go for him at under £30m.

Raiola will want the deal done as well, and if the stumbling block is his fee then he should cut his fee to make a deal happen. Or we should drop the deal until he does. We have made a fortune for him already this summer. Truly astonishing an agent wants £20m for a deal. What exactly does he do to earn that money other than put contact between the clubs, madness.

He has a choice of that or we get Matiudi and his fee being significantly less than the Pogba deal.

"Theza taikina da pissa" £120m and we pay that fat grubslinger his cut that Juve contracted too,
Let's walk away, and I bet now they have jizzed money on Gonzo, they'll come knocking !!

@Gasolin ,sorry for the late reply.About Madrid financial situation...In the past Madrid always sold before buying top players but to be honest I think that they can afford it.The only investment this summer was Morata and since Juve had paid before the total cost was 10m€?. Even the "free" press close to the club has doubts about the financial situation of the club so I have no idea if it's good or bad but I wouldn't take for granted that they can't afford the player.Madrid are still paying for Bale, dividing the payment in several years. For example they could offer Kovacic, some player on loan +25 during 4 years to equal United offer(just an example).
If they want to sell before buying maybe is to get cash in order to get a discount in the final price of the player.
Bankia(the bank of Bale's loan)was involved in a famous case of corruption.
Anyway I don't think that the loan was dubious,Madrid have debt but pay it and has an income of 600m€ every year, besides nobody will prosecute Madrid in Spain. You should know, that is in the 1st lesson of muppetry :)

Yes very much so. The odds have swung hugely towards real Madrid in recent days, we are still favourites but it is very narrow, there was a point where you could get him staying at juve at 10 and Madrid at 20 its not Madrid 2/5

The problem is that Raiola is also Matuidi's agent, innit? But since both were at the Euros and are in vacations and will get back at the same time, I think United can wait now. The ball is in Juventus' side. They have Higuain's the big bill to pay, after all.

Matuidi as a backup to Pogba? Would Barca, Real have him as a backup to Pogba? No. We are shopping a few levels above Matuidi's for a reason. We don't have any major quality in our MF. That's why we are a bit chit the last 3 years you know...

Matuidi isn't world class.

What? How?

Because a lot of panicking muppets have gone off and put big bets on him going to Madrid in the last few days, based on the tales AS and Tancredi have been spinning of Madrid hanging around in the shadows, just waiting to pounce if they sell James and Morata first

Which world class CM?

The likes of Fabregas, Gundogan or Vidal, and to an extent Ramsey, Gomes, Mario or Pjanic (well, maybe not world class). I understand some of these players have already moved on to new clubs this season, but you get the drift.

Because you specifically said we could get all 4 for 100m pounds

This is gold

You just gotta love the investigative nature of new age muppets. I bet they enjoy this more than watching football.

Are you saying you actually enjoy watching football more than transfer window?

Why are you mentioning players which are clearly not available? The fact is that if we don't sign Pogba, all other available players are a big step down in quality.
