Word is, Pogba gets a share of that 20%. Its not all Raiolas money. But offcourse he is playing the villain whilst his client gets a free ride in the press.

The timeline of the Marca/AS hatchet/propanga job is so clear, too. They bigged Pogba up when there was a chance at the deal (one paper calling him the most wanted player on the transfer market), then knocked him down when it seemed almost done to us (he's not that good & overpriced), then started suggesting Real were in with a chance as things dragged on (Zidane calling him, Madrid selling players to finance it, medical cancelled etc). Can absolutely guarantee once he signs for us they will start the hatchet portion again.

For everyone who made a fuss about deal not being concluded earlier there was just one option to finish it earlier, pay what Juventus asked. I think Woodward made a good account of himself here with the fee. Juventus wanted 120M+25M at some point he stood his ground, speculated/knew that there is nobody else there to pay those numbers and sited and waited. In the end he will make a world record deal on our terms so he can rub it in Florentino's face.
Is he back from holidays yet? I can't imagine we'll sign him while he's away. The idea of the worlds most expensive player coming back to a club on the verge of greatness again will media gold and work wonders for Unites marketing team.
Yeah but Madrid probably worked on him for much longer. Plus Sir Alex was retiring. So it wouldn't have been an ideal period to prize him away. Spurs would rather take less money from Madrid then more from us. Another thing is Bale is a glory hunter. So it would make sense for him and he also fancied playing with Ronaldo. There was a lot of reason to move but maybe at some point he'll want to come home.
I think if possible we should go for Matuidi. This way we significantly improve our midfield and at the same time corner Juve/Raiola as we won't be seen as having all our eggs in one basket and are not in a desperate situation T o sign him. we would have Matuidi who is a top level midfielder and avoid risking getting no one in the end in such a crucial position for us. This could force their hand.
