Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

He's trying to get as much money as possible. He knows how much United want Pogba and he is exploiting it.

He's certainly not a cnut, but not quite a saint either. Just a greedy bastard, in more ways than one by the looks of him.
But but how he is trying to make as much money when in reality he is entitled to that money? Think of it this way. You have a corporate job and first year you earn $100,000 in wages. Every year you're entitled to 10% of your wages as bonus. So the first year you get an extra $10,000 in your pocket because its a contract. The second year your salary goes up to $200,000. But 10% of that is $20,000 not $10,000. You're not trying to be the bad guy by holding out for the $20k if they are willing to give you only $10k. You're entitled to that $20K. I feel we have a similar situation here with the three parties involved.

Nervous Muppets, Get a grip.

It's part of Adidas campaign. The last tweet Raiola gave said No deal Blah blah blah. A few days later Adidas launch their blah blah blah teaser. A bit later they released the ad with Pogba Stormzy and the Utd logo with newspapers folded as Parrots. Now Raiola says 'Journalists = Parrots'. It's not a coincidence. He's making money from all this (from Adidas association with Paul). It's all an elaborate hype building exercise now. Funny how all of you ignore that he also said it's a competition to see who announces it first.

Yup, it's pretty obvious.

How are those birds in the Adidas ad parrots? Those look like vultures made of newspaper. The ad was trying to convey the fact that newspapers are like vultures. They are just waiting to feed on anything and talk a lot of shit, so don't believe everything you hear.

At this point one has to question the sanity of those still doubting that it's only a matter of time until the deal is complete.

Scepticism is understandable to a certain extent. Even cynicism and negativity can be excused. But what we are seeing right now is people going beyond paranoia and acting outright deranged.

But....I thought they were seagulls...?

This thread should be so much more fun and celebratory, and yet, people still want to act like this isn't nailed on. Why?

Because it's been done' for ages now, so we're at risk of looking like fools and missing out on a quality player if it falls through. There's still an understandable layer of apprehension so a lot of us are just desperate for official confirmation so we can relax.

Adidas video tweet that has Pogba, Stormzy and the United Badge, seems to be a teaser for the complete United First Never Follows ad, which probably includes that TV presenter talking about Mourinho. They have one for almost all of their clubs, Real, Chelsea, AC Milan. Just us and Bayern Left if I'm not mistaken.

Matteo Pedrosi in reply to Raiola's tweet:

#Pogba #ManchesterUnited , No ads here , for now I'm only limited to the " tic toc tic toc ... " :)

This is a horrible, horrible campaign. Playing with the emotions of fans of two of the biggest clubs in the world, honestly don't know who the feck came up with this stupid idea and I'd be really interested to know how they spin it so as not to ultimately end up disrespecting either club, irrespective of the final outcome of this God forsaken saga.

TMZ (horrible website) going full muppet whilst stalking him in LA "congrats on the contract"

Maybe. They even released a Juventus ad this morning.

I don't know. I've not got any real doubts as such, I'm 99% sure it's done. but after so many other failed sagas, I'm not letting myself totally believe until I see him holding the shirt.

Shit, his medical could unearth some unknown problem or something!

Off course without knowing but based on my experience in business this is a done deal. All signs points at one direction without any real discrepancy.

I wrote this the 8th of July and nothing has changed.

At the moment it's just show boating, political games and Mino Raiola trolling the journalists. Off course Adidas is milking this, why wouldn't they? They getting free publicity 24/7 from everywhere. They can even make an advertisement about this saga and nobody having a clue.

Tomorrow it's Zlatan day in Gothenburg. What a day for him. The crowd will give him a standing ovation and a heroes welcome. He's wort it. This guy changed the political landscape in Sweden and Scandinavia with his attitude and approach. Very very impressive.

I fully expect Pogba to be presented either on Monday or the day after Rooneys testimonial. Adidas will release a new advertisement with United and the player. United will drum the message about the most expensive player and everybody including the journalist will dance along.

From our/my perspective it's funny to witness. Nervous supporters, new Twitter messages every hour, journalist without a clue and on top of it this Pogba thread who I actually love to read. Redcafe at its best. 24/7 entertainment for free. Good work Naill and the moderators.

People who say United is boring don't know what they talk about. Look at Arsenal supporters, would you want to be in there shoes?

Guys over at that juventus forum is mass deluding themselves to this all being a massive ruse, and that Pogba is staying.

Denial is strong over there. The mass meltdown when it is official will be spectacular.

If people are talking and emotionally invested because of your campaign, you've won big time.

Just checked Expedia out of curiosity, using Friday August 26th as the date (didn't want to chose today because some flights might not show up if full and typically the flight schedule of one Friday would be the same as another Friday), and there appear to be no direct flights from LAX to Manchester.

United could charter a private plane for him, I suppose. I don't know if that's expected by athletes for long international flights or not. From LA to Manchester, I would think most private jets would have to make a stop to refuel, so the cost and the delay of that might not be worth it for Pogba or United (who knows, just speculating).

Also, for some reason all the LAX-LHR flights go late afternoon / evening LA time, so he's not on one atm.

Believe it or not, it's an excellent piece of marketing that will work.

Horrible and annoying all the same though.

This deal is huge for Adidas. Pogba becomes the star of the summer, joins another of their clients in United. They will sell a lot because of this and they're trying to make it as big of a deal as possible.

I signed up yesterday on Juventuz under the username REDCAFE. Needless to say they didnt approve it.

A medical would have been leaked I think. Certainly it would have been reported on by Di Marzio and co.
If he's got to come to sign you'd imagine he'll do the medical in the same trip.
There's not much doing MAN-LAX these days, but I think one or two airlines might be. More likely you'd stop-over either in US or go LAX-LHR.
Man-Lax?
Isn't London where Woodward is based and our marketing team?
Yeah. Our corporate side is in london now.
