Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Been behind on this today because I was tired of the Bullshit. Did Di Marzio have a response to Raiola's tweet?

If you consider the increased revenues in football and the subsequent inflation in transfer fees...

The £80m for Ronaldo in 2009 was probably like £160m today.

I think even at this lofty price, Pogba will prove worth it.

Don't pay attention to Raiola. He was also dismissing everything when we signed Zlatan. No big deal really.

It's only 20% of our revenue. Madrid signed Zidane for like 50%

We didn't want him anyway

This tweet about Rangers fans very aptly relates to City fans right now

So Raiola says no deal done then I see a second report saying Pogba scheduled for a medical with Utd? That pretty much sum up todays events?

Greg Stobart in that video (Squawka guy) talks so much rubbish. To the point where everything he says just seems misinformed. Yes it was March but he was seriously jumping the gun.

"Too much bad blood" with United, and PSG are the only competitors to City to get him, plus City will be getting rid of 9 players.

I love those videos to trawl through the comments sections.

Yeah I don't believe a word of it, just wondered if Di Marzio had a response to that. I'd imagine plenty have asked him about it.

I love Pogba's stats for 120 million.

year goals assists

2013 5 0

2014 7 7

2015 8 3

2016 8 12

His goal record is close to a defender and his assist is breathtaking.

I believe one of his correspondents responded to him (Page 818) , Amoyal said:

Recap for you from Di Marzios translators (english articles of his).

(Since you aren't wanting to dig through previous pages)

Basically Di Marzios side are saying "Agents and clubs lie, Juventus lied about bids for Higuain. We broke that weeks before, we have a great track record, Pogba to United is 100% agreed but not signed, and it will be. United said Van Gaal would be Manager next year, and that Higuain would never go to Juve, clubs lie."

I'm not a huge Pogba fan - I don't think he is worth anywhere near £100M. Probably £50M.
However, if Jose (who is a far better judge of players and football than you or I), thinks he is worth this money, then I cannot argue.
I am expecting huge things from Pogba, though.

My rule of thumb is that if you break the transfer record then that player should take the team to the next level. In our case, it should be the league title and I just don't believe that Pogba is that sort of player. However, I'd prefer to wait and see him play in our team, before judging him.

But what has he got to do with the significance of the advert and why it is hinting towards Pogba going to United?

All I see is Pogba reading a paper insinuating it's a load of shite. "Don't believe all the bla bla bla"

Then a poster with the United crest and 'Blah' plastered over it.

So, if anything, this hints to me that it's all a load of shit.

Personally, I think the deal is pretty much done, but the adidas ad has contributed nothing to my opinion.
Do you think United would allow Adidas to literally paint "shit" over the crest w/o a plus side for the club? That is the real crux of the matter. We are one of their biggest clients. I think Pogba would have been in the Juve ad if we weren't close to signign him (he isn't in it but Pjanic is). Him being in the ad with the club crest is a sign no matter what the actual ad implies. It's a hype machine of course to get us talking, clicking and following.

Just to highlight, MUFC never said LVG would be our manager next season.
LVG claimed this. But MUFC were tight lipped.
Many people stated (in the Mourinho to MUFC thread) that MUFC not backing their manager is/was fuelling rumours.

Him not starting against Bourmouth and Leicester is slightly annoying but those will only be the two games he will miss (of course injuries play a part but he's one of the least injury prone players in the world)

If it was all about stats Iniesta would be one of the most overrated players in the world

I don't understand. If we are going to sign him, why the feck would he not be ready for the first game of the season and how can they be sure on that? Again, it just sounds like complete bollocks if you ask me, unless it's injury related.

I agree with you that the fee is ridiculous but that's out of the players hands. I think your underrated Pogba in that he ain't a game changer, I think getting him will be the difference and we will become favourites just with him on our team, he really is that good IMO!

Not fit enough since his holiday finishes before the community shield.

Well I just read through 15 pages of utter hysteria.

Once again, the people freaking out don't even take two seconds before resorting to belittling Di Marzio.

Raiola said "NO DONE DEAL"...DONE....DOOOOONE

For the last 48 hours we knew the paperwork had to be created and it had to be sent off to all parties TO BE feckING SIGNED.

How could there be an official "done deal" if we know the paperwork hasn't been signed?:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Do people even keep track of what Di Marzio and Staff say? The deal is done because all parties have an agreement! The paperwork needs signatures to be officially "done"

This thread is bonkers :wenger::wenger:

Have Sky suspended betting on Pogbas next club yet since their so far behind on everything?

Needs to man the feck up then, this isn't Serie A pissy bollocks anymore Paul, get to Carrington ASAP.

He's not even signed yet and he's played nearly 11 months of constant football.

He was promised this much holiday and that's how much he'll get.

It's annoying but he's played so many minutes for club and country this season as he was mostly injury free so he has to take a long rest.

Also the Serie A starts a week later so his holiday is a bit longer.

Wait, there's still people doubting this is happening?

Raiola said in a tweet "no deal done between clubs", some on here took that to mean nothing has really happened. Then some Di Marzio hate popped up.

When all this means is that the signatures haven't been done, which would be officially "done deal" but people prefer hysteria compared to re-reading what Di Marzio and staff said 24 hours ago :lol::lol:

Sport "journalism" in England is just ...what pisses me off even more is that nobody calling them out for being clueless in every aspect, never mind on their made up "sources".

I mean plus it's Raiola. He's a massive media wum. But yeah it's not "officially done", but it's basically all done.

He's a box to box midfielder looking at a stats sheet will never explain his effect on the pitch. Take a look at Iniesta on a stat sheet and how impressive does he look or any other similar midfielder.

I also say he is worth 50 mil from footballing perspective but i guess clubs also see it as a long term investment of say 10 years or also and how marketable he can be.

Total player worth = regular worth + commercial value

if you put 50 mil for each then he is 100mil...Maybe that is how the club saw it.
