Someone says your post is tedious, further down, personally there's nothing wrong with being a realist anything can happen!!, you are right. Until he's signed he is not our player, again someone talking sense trying to get slapped down by the cocksure, arrogant brigade.

Thanks for the shout out bud. Produce something worth reading and perhaps i'll give you a shout out in return.

I miss @ChaddyP our fallen hero is watching this thread from above.

My money is on Raiola being spotted in the stands tonight.

What's funny about that?
We have a player, involved with 2 clubs and nobody is saying anything. This is the sort of thing which happens when a player is not leaving or the player/clubs are not sure.
If/when a player is leaving, he usually starts singing the praises of the new club he wants to move to, which he hasn't.

Also, the continuous "he will sign in x hours", which is tweeted almost everyday is getting tiresome.
Bale had a long (World Record) transfer saga, but he made it absolutely clear that he wanted to move. It was made clear that Bale wanted to leave Spurs. And that Spurs were happy to sell for the right price.
This has not been case with Pogba.

On the other side of the argument we have Di Marzio saying that the deal is done.
We also know that Pogba has been signing MUFC jerseys.

The rumour was that he would sign last Friday. Many muppets swore blind to this time table, laid down by a journalist. Once the deadlilne passed, the same muppets started interpretting the same tweet in a different way, to suit their hypothesis.

Personally, I think there is a more than 50% chance that Pogba will come to MUFC (there is too much smoke/noise about that move), but the player is not signed and like we saw with DDG, last minute hitches can put an end to a transfer.

Agree 100%

It isn't done yet, if it was we would have announced it, until we do that anything can happen. Him signing the Juve ball pretty much sums up that he will sign anything put in front of him (so the Utd shirt thing was a load of shit).

It is also painfully obvious he isn't desperate for a move here (like Bale was to Real), still think this will happen, but if we haven't tied it up by Friday then the muppets will have run out of excuses. Yes he is on holiday, but should be back to training on Sunday, which for me means it needs to be done before the weekend.

Just quickly, where was it made clear Bale wanted to leave? Press gossip, right? Just as press gossip now is saying Pogba wants to join United, believes in the project, has told his French teammates he's leaving etc.

Then, you mention Spurs were happy to sell for a fee, well so are Juve. They have a price their happy to sell for.

There's not much difference in the two transfers tbh.

That's absolute rubbish though. Sane to City. Stones to City. Lukaku to Chelsea. The list is literally endless.

And we also signed Bailly immediately at the seasons end, then wrapped up Mickey and Ibra quickly. Would have been even quicker for Ibra if not for the Euros.

Expecting a world record transfer to go through quickly might be asking a bit much. Especially as the player is still on holiday.

It's not really sense, it's overly pessimistic nonsense.

Yet you could argue that this being a done deal is optimistic nonsense.

Loads of stories broke on the Thurs / Fri to say the announcement was pending, that was just BS fed to the journos by Raiola and they believed it. Since then nothing, other that a Utd shirt being signed and telling some Juve fans he is staying.

Wasn't Zlatan still technically on holiday when he signed, but came to Manchester got it done and then was given extra time off.

No you couldn't argue that, unless you ignore ALL the facts.

I'm not going to lose sleep over it if we don't sign Pogba. I actually believe its done, as I've said before, I doubt Adidas would be making Man Utd themed Pogba adverts if not. Still, if it collapses like Devon Loch fair enough.

Yes, Pogba's a top player. Yes, he would improve our first XI. We already have a team good enough to win the title though. Right now I'm more excited about watching Man Utd play competitive games than anything else.

No

The whole sage is really annoying now. Needs to be concluded for both teams sake as it's hampering both teams plans potentially.

I've never read so much shite in all my life in this thread, but you're somehow the worst of the lot so far

Paul Pogba to snub Manchester United as he tells Juventus fans he's staying in Italy

THE French midfielder was expected to seal his £100million move to Old Trafford shortly but has now made the shock admission on Italian TV.

The French international is still expected to complete his world record £100million move from Juventus to Old Trafford shortly but not before he demonstrated his kickboxing skills and told a fan he's staying in Turin.

The transfer saga of the summer rumbles on as his move to England hasn't been completed and he made Red Devilssupporters sweat after telling Italian TV he may well be staying in Serie A.

It would be a stunning turnaround as the whole world expects Pogba to sign for Manchester United as the signature player in the Jose Mourinho revolution.

Hope this isn't true :(.

I don't think it was ever likely it would be wrapped up while he is in the US.

Can we threadban anyone who is apparently 'bored' of the saga? Seems a big help to them since they're so unentertained.

Hopefully this gets completed tomorrow. I think if there wasn't certainty from our side he's coming, we'd have moved onto other targets. Think it's a done deal, just want it to be officially announced!

Starting to think this signing is a bad idea.

If Pogba really wanted to join United he'd have cut short his fecking holiday by now. Yes he may have been granted an extended break by Juventus, but the Premier League begins earlier than Serie A. If he was committed to the move he'd have been happy to return earlier and get some preparation time under his belt.

The constant instagram updates, the stupid trolling posts, the basketball, the pool parties... it's all got a bit annoying. The guy's clearly in love with himself and United can do without another mega-ego.

I know the deal makes sense from a financial perspective, but from a football point of view we can get someone just as effective for far less money.

Another muppet bites the dust.

They've been dropping like flies since Friday.

Name them, go on. So far when people have said that, the list of Pogba alternatives have been quite frankly laughable.

Not sure about that

With all due respect to New Castle, I believe if a toon fan approached Pogba and asked him to sign New Castle jersey, he would totally sign it. Also, he would reply back with a smile and/or a 'let's see' if the New Castle fan quizzed him about joining New Castle. It's called being nice to football fans who are crazy about you. We should really stop looking too much into footballers signing clothes and/or footballs and their diplomatic replies. That goes for the previous incident of Pogba signing a United shirt as well.

But I want to talk about facts. I want to be clear, I do not want to play mind games. But I have seen some facts:-

In United's favour:-
1. Di Marzio and his staff confident that he will join United. They haven't started backtracking either (not yet at least).
2. We're literally not being linked to any other midfielder or a player and the season is almost here. Mourinho said he has identified 'four' targets and would have surely made a move if he wasn't sure of Pogba.
3. Sky joining the bandwagon as well with recent reports.
4. Pogba's own agent never said Pogba will stay as Juve and continuously said "no agreement is reached". His club hasn't come out and denied it either.
5. Juve have been spending money. Sh*t ton of money.

In Juve's favour:-
1. His holidays is going a bit too long for someone who is supposed to join a new team and get going with the adapting process/training. It could yet swing in Juve's favour if an agreement isn't reached.
2. Juve are a great team on current form and a better prospect than United at the moment.

In Real's favour:-
1. Real didn't mind throwing CL final deciding Di Maria for a more marketable James Rodriguez. They would surely want something as shiny as Paul Pogba. When have they ever been the ones to think about a player's price tag? Could it be that they are lurking in the shadows for United to do all the discussions and reach an agreement on a final bid and then matching it up? (But this is more of a conjecture than a fact)

Going by these facts, I think Mourinho will get Pogba. Something I didn't think would be possible when rumors started back in July.

just curious, why do you call 'Newcastle' by the name 'New Castle'?

Muppet breakdown confirmed.
