Pogba is probably reading redcafe.
Wouldn't even surprise me, tbf. Pogba: If you're reading this, give RedCafe a shoutout, or give us a hint in your next Instagram post.
Let's see if he responds to that :wenger:
Question...

I'm sure many of us expected this to have been wrapped up by now, so will the time it has taken and the copious amount of bs from twitter make the transfer that much sweeter when United announced it with him holding the shirt?

I'm sure if he'd have signed 2 weeks ago we'd be somewhat over it by this point. I'm at the point where it doesn't really bother me now, I've no muppet left in me for this one. I'll still be pretty pleased when it's done but the massive excitement has gone for me.
Agree with you. I think the Pogba Mania has already peaked, and people are actually just getting impatient and annoyed that it hasn't been announced yet. But there's probably a good reason that it hasn't been done yet, and we should just stop listening to the media.

We've done it to ourselves to a certain extent. You just can't escape the (social) media coverage but yet our seemingly endless demand for said coverage means there's never a break from it.

Well with the community shield tomorrow and just the fact it's Sunday I doubt anything will happen re. Pogba. We enter yet another week hoping it will finally be the week we get closure.

I actually expected these 2 guys to have an update when Pogba left NY, why? Cos they are the only people who knew where he was staying. They met him the other day outside the hotel and just had to lurk around until they saw him with packed bags again to realise he is leaving.
Originally, maybe, but their video showed what hotel he was staying at (Trump Soho), so anyone that wanted to properly stalk him after that could have easily enough.

On the contrary, it has been made to look like a done deal but been dragged out so long it has gotten extremly boring. It has come to a point were you expect him to sign, where you already assume he is our player, the announcement is just a very important detail that has been missing. In my opnion dragging it out this much really destroys the excitment you feel when a new signing is announced.

From all the players we signed so far this summer, Bailly is the one that got my muppet juices flowing just because it was so out of the blue and unexpected and that is how I like them the best.

Agreed. Out of the blue and wrapped up quickly. I'm sure Jose wanted the Pogba thing to be done weeks ago as we all did but the time it's taken has sucked the excitement out of it for the most part.

Exact feeling. The waiting for the announcement has made muppets numb.

I wonder if there are still people excited about this who have been following it very closely from 2 months ago?

Having said that, when he is actually in Manchester, the excitement levels will creep up again...

We won't announce him until he is holding our shirt. So that won't be tomorrow if he's due in Italy before hand. I'm certain this will finally be the week though.

I can see this one exploding after the Community Shield in the same way Van Gaal leaving exploded after we won the FA Cup.

Him being summoned for training on Monday surely suggests this "done deal" isn't as complete as we thought.

On a serious note Pogba seems a bit of an attention whore and too obsessed with the off field privileges of being a superstar footballer for my liking,

We need to keep him away from Memphis when he comes and get him to concentrate on improving his game and fulfilling his unbelievable potential.

I don't think this is so much the case. 1) He's been on holiday so his social media output on non-football matters would spike naturally, and 2) this thread has posters following his every move. We'd unravel the same about many other footballers if we put them under the microscope too.

He's 23 and single, which means regardless of career, he'll be out and about on more lavish activities. That doesn't mean he's not totally invested in football.

Agreed. More importantly : has his attitude or anything he did of the pitch ever been an issue? If no, then I honestly wish him all the fun in the world.

Bit of a stereotype assuming he will just be out because he's young a single. Pogba is just an ordinary guy, I'm still convinced he will be a Manchester United player but as time goes by the cracks start to show.

Perhaps, just think this Drake and Dabbing nonsense is counter-productive.

I know Pogba is a good athlete and keeps his fitness levels high, it is the mental side of the game I think he needs to work on and I feel he is a bit immature.

He has the physical and technical attributes, if he can add the reading and knowledge of the game he will be the complete package and a Ballon D'Or winner in my eyes.

This has always been his weakness imo from when he played underage for us.

No his immaturity on the off the field are preventing him from becoming absolutely astonishing.

He is already a top player.

What immaturity? If anything he seems grounded and seems to be very involved in his faith, just because he does a few dabs doesn't make him immature.

As the time goes by and they're still writing paperwork it starts to be put into doubt.

True but then people who are in committed relationships devote their time to the partner it's still expended energy, infact it's probably better being Single and out than sitting at home working on a beer belly like some in the squad.

Fair enough pal, but I wouldn't worry at all. Think it has been sorted for a while now. Just puting pen to paper I think. So 99.9% done IMO. His holiday has finished and Jose said we will get our fourth player who is obviously Pogba. It's a question of time. Don't let the negative nellies in this thread get to ya! ;)

It's a deal for 100 million pounds +. There's going to be people pouring over every letter of this contract. The agreements seem to be all in place, it's just the particulars. That's how I'm reading it anyway.

According to Alegri, Pogba will report for duty on Monday, so he will either go straight to Italy or he may go to London, to watch his team play W.Ham.

I do find it funny that he apparently landed in Manchester, but no pictures were taken because he is underground.
I mean, if you are going to make up a story, at least give it a sense of realism.
Next they will say that he is in Manchester, but he is hovering 100m in the air, so nobody can actually see or take a picture of him.

What's more believable:
Nobody has seen him in Manchester because:
1, he is in Manchester, but is underground; or
2, he is not actually in Manchester

Jose has already stated that next week MUFC will attempt to complete the signing.
It won't be tomorrow and quite possibly won't even be next week.

So him meeting celebs on holiday and his goal celebration are the mental barriers preventing him from being a.top player?
Yes, dabbing and the unusual condition of being single at 23 are ultimately going to be what holds him back. Once he starts wearing skinny jeans we might as well ship him off back to Italy.

This has been the case for several days now and it does not take as long as you are suggesting.
You are making out that this is the most complicated contract in the history of all contacts (including contracts which do not relate to employment or football).

His immaturity of play on the field is manifested in his poor positioning and decision making when he is not given the protection of a DM who covers his mistakes.

He has always made poor decisions in games like against Ireland in the Euros when he gave away an unnecessary penalty, he also struggles to dictate a game due to his positioning and decision making.

I want him to fulfill his potential and he just seems a bit immature to me right now, although he is still young.

:wenger: Using that logic Bastian and Boateng are immature players too. Also, positioning? He was playing a role he wasn't accustomed to, it's only expected.

He's a box to box essentially, don't think positioning is a very valid argument as he's known to be very good at winning the ball back and initiating counter attacks, whilst also being an asset in attack.

...just because he does a few dabs doesn't make him immature.

Anybody who does dabs, outside of a football pitch, is immature.

Did you not see the dabbing video, featuring Lingard? Lingard comes across as a 12 year old in that video. I was shocked to see that a 23 yr old can be so immature.
There was a rumour a while back that one of our player did not know how to boil an egg. I suspect it was Lingard.

You are making out that this is the most complicated contract in the history of all contacts (including contracts which do not relate to employment or football).

A lot of contracts are boiler-plate contracts anyway with a standard template. "Manchester United have an agreed upon the fee of £100,000,000 for Paul Pogba, payments to be made to XYZ". etcetera,
"Manchester United has agreed to cover the agent fees as part of the transfer" and so on.

They'll have a format for buying Image Rights, just punching in numbers where required, the same between clubs and agents.

A contract is written from page 1 to page 400 from scratch because there'd be hundreds of legal loopholes.

The fee was agreed ago weeks ago supposedly, a deal can be done in 24-48 hours. The contract could have been written within 12 hours tops.

Dude where have you been these past 6 or 8 pages? All you mentioned have been discussed and debunked.

We've had proof that he isn't in Manchester and the reports were simply BS, We've talked about Allegri's quotes and basically everything in your post has been discussed.

Welcome to 5-6 pages ago.

think the fee was agreed some weeks back. The delay mostly was the agent's commision from what has been said.

The details? who knows.

He is already a top player.

I don't think you can judge a player who plays box to box, and makes errors some times as immature, leaving his age aside, he can play his position very well, so much so that he's won 4 consecutive league titles, two league cups, and been in the final of the Euros and Champions league as a FIRST 11 player, for Juventus. And his tackling, goals, and assist ratio is close to unrivaled, there are few that play his position that have done as well as he has, in world football.

Anybody who does dabs, outside of a football pitch, is immature.

Are you kidding me... SO, let me get this straight, if something is created ... outside of football, and football adopts it as a celebration, it's immature outside? Is dancing immature? You really are a sour old fart aren't you.

I guess we'll be moving on from his celebrations to his haircuts soon.

It absolutely astonishes me that some people here are unable to grasp the concept of figurative language. I thought (hoped) others in past pages were being sarcastic, but you sound serious, so it makes me wonder. I'm not saying GDS was correct, but do you really think that they were saying that he was LITERALLY underground, like in a bunker or something? Good lord.

Apologies if your sarcasm flew over my head, but you sounded serious, the way you kept banging on about it.
