Premier League Gameweek 7

Doubt he would have made the same impact with us under Van Gaal, though.

Nevermind, we'll have him in a few years if we want him. ;)

Doubt he wants to step down to the EL

Enough of the banter now before it goes too far and I get ravaged!

Burnley sitting so deep their keepers got sore feet.
When teams do that, t is absolutely inevitable they concede, any cross into the box turns into a clusterfeck and you have no viable outball.

I make you right, for quite a few teams going to try and press's City like Spurs did today would be a disaster. They won't have the pace, power and desire let alone the relentless coaching to do it. As a result City will play through them and dismantle them. If I was a City fan I wouldn't be seriously concerned either.

Great result for us, could be a crucial 3 points in our fight to retain a top 4 spot.

Exactly, its easy to say it but your pace that really allowed you to pull it off imho. Wanyama instead of Dier was a great decision as it the former is quicker, Sissoko and Lamela too. Never realised Lamela was so quick. Alli too, 4 of your midfield 5 were really fast, add in the workrate you displayed and it was a complete performance, as complete as I've seen from any side this season. Son too is strong and quick. All around the pitch you were first to the second/breaking ball. Most teams won't be able to harass us at that pace and even under that kind of pressure we made at least 5 shooting chances in your box second half which you again closed down well.

Against most the other PL teams we'll cut them apart if they employ that kind of high press with the odd silly goal conceded.

You guys aren't in top 4 race, your in a title race along with City, United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea if United and Chelsea can find their form. If not its still 4 teams imho and you guys look the most settled along with Liverpool and ourselves but of those 3 your defence is rock solid. Am I right that you still haven't conceded from open play this season? Your CB's are so good together and I really can't see Kompany displacing either if he ever regains fitness for Belgium (although Martinez....). Most complete team performance of the season.

What a boring game this is.

Especially after how good Arse were against Chelsea and then midweek. At least we're not the only ones who struggle with consistency.

Arsenal always win late. It'll be the same again. Don't know why some of you go through the torture of an inevitable late winner.
