I don't know about fondly, but I definitely think that the humour is added to by the fact that we didn't win. If we'd won, the tactic would have been somewhat vindicated, in a way.

Actually, the funniest thing is that we went 2-1 up and kept crossing the ball...and then straight from kick off after 2-2...we cross the ball

I don't think anyone is suggesting a foot to the head isn't dangerous, the argument is that at the time of the cross he was clearly offside, before moving in behind the defender and onto the ball. The header wouldn't have scored, so not sure what the defender was thinking.
