Difference after 10 games. 10 points behind 2nd and 9 behind 4th to 5 and 2.
You think we need 35 points? In other words, 80 points by the end of the season. That's jut not realistic. That's higher than the second placed team in 4 of the last 6 seasons, 1 point less than last year's champions and the same as United's 2011 title win. No two season are the same but even so I really doubt 80 points will be a necessity for top 4. All contenders, except Chelsea, are dropping way too many points for that.42 points to play for. We need to get 35-37 points and not worry about anyone else. I think getting 35 points will see us get top 4.

Wow, Everton have taken an average of two points a game over the last 10 rounds of fixtures.So basically last 10 games
Chelsea - 25 points
Arsenal - 16 points
Liverpool-16 points
Man city-19 points
Tottenham- 23 points
United - 24 points
Last 10 games our form has been better than anyone bar chelsea. if we can continue same over next 10 games we should be doing well enough.
Is that true? Because there were a time we were 9 points off 4th.
EDIT: It isn't true. You have gained no ground during our unbeaten run, nor lost any. From game week 9 when we last lost, you were 5 points ahead of us.
Not true.

We might end up in 8th again.I noticed that. If they keep that going they could be in the mix too !
Everton to finish top 4 ahead of Liverpool. Jurgen's finest acheivment![]()
But we have been ABYSMAL for so long and Mourinho needs to be SACKED!So basically last 10 games
Chelsea - 25 points
Arsenal - 16 points
Liverpool-16 points

it's beyond annoying that of the 9 games we drew no one could genuinely make a case of how we should not have one them in terms of chances created/missed and general performance. Even if we were very cynical and said that 5 of 9 only (roughly half of them) should have been victories that's 15 points... that would have seen us 1 point ahead of Chelsea as it stands.
highly frustrated. The silver lining is that this could be a repeat of the season Jose came back to Chelsea, he ran them close to winning it and built on it the next season to dominate. I can see that happening now that even though we moan about the missed chances to win when we have some more quality bought in the summer we should be a very good bet to win it.
It's 10 points more, my friend. Looking at that table, what's also interesting is that our GD has improved considerably (in relative terms).![]()

Can't happen though of course, especially when you factor in the three points Everton are guaranteed to hand to Liverpool at Anfield

So points gained in the last 10 games:
Chelsea ----> 25
Arsenal ----> 16
Liverpool -----> 16
Man City ------> 19
Tottenham ------> 23
Man Utd --------> 24
Basically confirms that we have been one of the top 3 teams in the last 2-3 months.
Edit: @Maradona10 damm!
Exactly. We are the form team in the league right now. 24 points out of a possible 30 - how on earth does anyone criticise that? That is title winning form. Yes we had a slow start to the season but there is clear, incontrovertible proof that we have gotten it right and the team has settled!
And still there are some who seem to think that we need to worry about Liverpool? Look at their past 10 games as a statistical guide. They are a team well and truly in melt down. Even their goal difference has been poor. We should stop worrying about Liverpool, they're not a concern for us. The clubs capable of challenging us are Spurs and Chelsea. As such, we should hope for a draw in the Liverpool/Spurs game and certainly NOT a Spurs win.

Edit: should be 10 points, not 15 (behind Chelsea)
That would be Chelski - with 25 out of 30 points.
Given your remaining fixtures it's far more realistic to think of finishing in the top 4 than in the top 2, and even top 4 is still going to be a challenge.

Rubbish. That is just wishful thinking from you. We have no need to worry about Liverpool and Arsenal and should rightly be focusing on Spurs and Chelsea. Liverpool and Arsenal are bottlers and they're on a downward spiral. We are not to be put into a category with them. Clearly you are worried about us overtaking you. It's fine, I would be too. Our current form gives rivals plenty of reason to worry.

With these sorts of games we're usually better off with a draw. More points lost overall.Will have to wash my mouth out with soap after saying this but.......COME ON, LIVERPOOL! BEAT TOTTENHAM!

Oh right. Yeah, if they don't win it now they've only got themselves to blame.He's a Chelsea fan. Don't know why he is bothering though, they have the league title in the bag now.
Not quite. Think Spurs will hang around if they manage to get out of Anfield with 3 points.He's a Chelsea fan. Don't know why he is bothering though, they have the league title in the bag now.
