He's ready for international management. I think he'd boss it.
Why do people think this? His style just isn't suited to international tournament football at all.

Carragher letting rip tonight.
It's what I keep saying - I hope our fanbase never gets like that about Top fecking 4. I couldn't give two shites. Win the league or nothing for me.Most of it is reasonable, too. I sometimes think the whole "getting stuck in" attitude can be a bit outdated and silly but the whole 'top four mentality' has been corrosive. Especially when all it's gotten them is a series of last 16 CL finishes.
The idea they'd be fecked without Wenger if they fell out the top four is a bit silly - United and Liverpool have struggled to get top four in recent years and yet neither side is really behind Arsenal at all when it comes to quality. It wouldn't surprise me if Arsenal appoint someone decent, win the league next year, celebrate, and then think...err, shouldn't this have happened half a decade ago?

Surely not?
Not a bad shout. He'd get any country he liked. He's ready for international management. I think he'd boss it.
Is it possible he'd stay on for a year just to have a transition of sorts? Maybe do some restructuring so the incoming boss won't come into a huge mess?
I think that could end up making things worse. They need to make a change this year imo. If he stays and Sanchez/Ozil and others decide to go, they could start next season in a terrible state with a manager who already has the fans on edge.Is it possible he'd stay on for a year just to have a transition of sorts? Maybe not
Actually I wondered because I suspect like us with SAF, the club has long revolved around Wenger, and they might not have a post Wenger strategy in place. I doubt the board thought they would be fighting for top 4 irrespective of the competition this season. It might be less traumatic if they gave themselves time to put things in place.I think that could end up making things worse. They need to make a change this year imo. They need a fresh start.
Huh, I hadn't thought of that. You would think that they have a plan in mind for when Wenger goes, regardless of when that actually is.Actually I wondered because I suspect like us with SAF, the club has long revolved around Wenger, and they might not have a post Wenger strategy in place. Then again, if Wenger is not leaving because his personal interest, then yes, it's best to make a fresh start.

I assume Arsene. Don't know of anyone on their board who'd have any knowledge or desire to get involved with that.Huh, I hadn't thought of that. You would think that they have a plan in mind for when Wenger goes, regardless of when that actually is.
The thing is, with Arsenal's board no one really knows who's supposed to be in charge of what. We all know who is and has been in charge of transfers at United/Liverpool for example (Woodward and Ayre). Who is in charge of all that at Arsenal?
Incredible arrogance from him recently.
Claude just said he heard Wenger has already signed a new contract.
I dunno matedo you think footy clubs do much planning?
does it ever look like footy clubs do much planning?
(that they stick to)
