That user with the Blair flair (it rhymes!) is infuriating even to a non-Sunderland fan like me. Whataboutery and missing the point.

I cringe reading some of the things he's said while at Sunderland. Genuinely one of the worst displays of management I've ever seen in football; right up (down?) there with Steve Kean and Terry Connor.

On Reddit so many users refuse to blame him for the mess saying "it's Sunderlands fault" despite the fact he has spent a fortune and brought in the players he wanted to bring in yet it's somehow all Sunderland's fault.

I then point to 3 successive failures and how he is the common denominator in all that and they still somehow still have excuses for him

Heres the thing Moyes is clearly very talented when it comes to spinning a narrative, helped by his chums in the press. He went into Sunderland and from day 1 talked their chances down and said their squad was shite. Say that enough and eventually people believe it.

He did the same thing at United, he's so effective at this that many usually sensible posters on here went from thinking that we had a good squad that just needed some investment, to thinking our entire squad was shite and we needed a complete rebuild.

Some buy into the bullshit and seem to truly believe its never Dave's fault.

I really can't fathom how anyone can think he's anything other than a complete shithouse - you'd have to be a complete idiot to think otherwise.

In response to the 'Moyes Out' chants today:
I did hear the chants. But they were to be expected. You have to take it. I just remembered that I’ve got the third or fourth best win record of any Premier League manager.

The delusion is reaching new heights.

On his negative rhetoric.

'All I've tried to be is totally honest from day one, I guess people don't want to hear that these days'.

The guy is finished. Waiting for his pay off.

What's he referring to here? There's obviously some seriously huge over-riding catch involved in this claim...

Also on the fans/chants;

"They've had a lot of football managers here and they've criticized a lot of them."

 Having a pop at the fans, sounds like a great idea to me.

Only Ferguson and Wenger have managed more matches in the Premier League than Moyes so it's a pretty meaningless statistic.

He's also coached the the third most losses in Premier League history after Redknapp and Allardyce.

I'm not sure if these quotes are true, because they sound unbelievable.
The question is, "if you think the players you are going to buy are not going to make a difference, why are you buying them?"
He's the master at downplaying things and setting himself up for failure very well with those excuses to brain wash people into thinking it's not his fault.

Wenger has done the same at Arsenal "top 4 is a trophy, next season will be different, we will challenge for the PL this time"

Manager's with a massive ego who refuse to let go even if they know it's best for the club if they leave

It is 'small margins' between Jose and his first season at United :wenger:

"You have to win trophies at Manchester United and Jose has a trophy under his belt quickly," he told a news conference.

"I lost to Sunderland on penalty kicks in the semifinal. It's small margins, at times, which can change things.

"But I think winning is a big thing at a club like Manchester United. You have to win.

"Every manager needs a bit of time and whoever is at Manchester United needs a bit of time to understand the club, the size and how it works."

Moyes and his Sunderland side are facing almost certain relegation from the Premier League after a dismal season.

They are nine points from safety after a late goal earned them a 2-2 draw at home to West Ham on Saturday but Moyes said: "There are different stages in managerial careers.

"I think the best is still to come. I'm looking forward to winning trophies and being successful again."

Imagine having Moyes as your doctor. He'll say something like I'll do my best but you'll probably die of the common cold.

[I think the best one is where he says I think the players are giving their all we just need to try a bit harder/QUOTE]

He's just the most uninspiring individual I have ever seen

How he can walk around after each defeat blaming the world for his woes whilst our club is the butt of jokes is an absolute disgrace . What the hell do they talk about post match that leads anybody to think there is a solution to our problems with this fossil at the helm is beyond reasoning

Is he being asked about his time here or does he just blurt it out randomly? (Ref: Espn piece).

"I have one of the best win percentages of any manager of all time in the world ever of any person that's ever managed a sport ever. Ever.".

That's all well and good but erm, it doesn't help Safc now does it really. Such an irrelevant thing to bring up.

I love that Sunderland took points off West Ham this weekend. They are going down anyway so how frustrating must that result have been for West Ham :lol:
Odd to see Sunderland showing some fight for once.

He called upon the football gods in his post match interview. If such a thing existed he would be the first to be struck down by lightning.
