Doesn't he play the same role as Ander? If anything he'd replace him (at least in the #8 position) I'd imagine.Nainggolan would be interesting too. Him, Ander, and Pogba in a midfield three would be quite naughty.
Ander has played as the deepest midfielder numerous times this season. Could easily be managed, particularly against smaller teams.Doesn't he play the same role as Ander? If anything he'd replace him (at least in the #8 position) I'd imagine.

Absolute protagonist in this (first) season will almost certainly be on the market as well: for Kylian Mbappé start the first moves of the great Europe, first of all Manchester United. José Mourinho's team has in fact offered 85 million euros: rejected. Monaco asks between 120 and 140, a monstre figure that demonstrates the will to keep it at least another year. The young '98 class is attracted by Real Madrid, but unlike the British it is not convinient and has not yet moved in a concrete way.
Not only the attack, however, the Red Devils want to intervene also in midfield. A couple of months ago a survey was made for Radja Nainggolan, however the contacts did not go further because the Roma midfielder would want to remain in the capital. Meanwhile, United, for that role, has put on top of the list also Fabinho (always Monaco) and Toni Kroos.
He says exactly that.Di Marzio does not exactly say that Fabinho tops our wishlist, he says that Fabinho and "Toni Kross" (presumably 'Toni Kroos') are "alternatives" to Nainggolan (who doesn't want to leave Roma):

No mention of Griezmann in the article...If we pay anything close to that for Mbappe we can forget about Griezmann too.
Yeah I know, hence why I said, "at least in the 8 position". Against small teams sure, I just don't think it'd be the best use of his attributes. I'd much rather him and Nainggolan were fighting for one spot and we got a real holder in behind. Nainggolan along with Pereira coming back (who'd compete with Pogba) and a DM (Fabinho) would sort out our midfield problems.Ander has played as the deepest midfielder numerous times this season. If you read the italian version that is written by di marzio and not one of his assistants, he says Fabinho and kroos are top of list because nainggolan wont leave rome. This season few players have established themselves more than Kylian Mbappe' and the Monaco striker is certain to be a big name in the summer transfer market headlines. Manchester United has made a concrete attempt to sign him by offering €85 million which Monaco turned down as they're looking for €120/140 million, this shows the French club's desire to hold on to him for at least another season. Mbappe' on the other hand is intrigued by possibility of joining Real Madrid, but the Spanish club has yet to take concrete action.
Mourinho wants to also improve the Red Devils midfield. A few months ago an inquiry was made for Radha Nainggolan but there have been no additional steps forward, in addition the Belgian international prefers to stay at Roma. As alternatives Manchester United is also interested in Fabinho and Toni Kross.

Meh. We've played half the season without a 'holder' and have been fine. True midfield balance like that is only really necessary at the very highest level, and we're not quite competing there yet.
Since when has central midfield been an issue this season? Last I checked our main gripe was scoring goals and finishing chances.Could have gotten us in the top 4 though

Christ, I hope we don't go near Dier.Christ, if we believe reports, we have a lot of players at the "top" of our wishlist
So that's now Fabinho, Griezmann, Belotti and Dier who are the #1 priority

Mourinho said months ago that the Pogba record would be broken this summer. It must have been a hint that he is going to sign Mbappe for £100m+...it makes sense...follow the money
Right...If we had a top class holder then Herrera and specifically Pogba would have had more license to attack and less ground to cover.
Right...
Remember when we got him until lvg vetoed the deal for his favourite schweinsteiger who would play sideways and backwards. I was furious with lvg for that.Kroos is obviously not gettable.
I dont think it should be Fabinho or Nainggolan, but both. We have zero depth there. Fellaini and Pereira are not players you want to rely on when going for the league title. An injury to Herrera/Pogba and we are fecked.
