Premier League weekend fixtures 11/12/13 August

How come this shit team plays in the PL? Probably the worst performance I've ever seen.
Do they even have footballs at their training centre?

For how much City spent and how people talked them up they should be doing better than taking 70 minutes to score against a side that hasn't been in the top flight in 35 years.

City really haven't been impressive all things considered. They've gotten the job done against fodder, nothing more, nothing less.

Yep, i do agree. They are the same old team of last season: lot of possession, little end product.

Idk mate, Burnley played even worse against a 9 man Chelsea while defending a 3-1 lead.

Did he just say last season's 6 was the most City have lost in the PL era?

I was waiting for the "...since they won the lottery in 2008" but it never came.

Brighton have been brave? Heroic? Nah mate, they've just been shite.

The most one-sided game you're likely to see all season. Brighton were like a deer caught in the headlights. They were bricking it any time they had the ball, and showed zero composure.

City have so much firepower - they could've scored as many as they wanted today.

Hopefully they tail off like last season.

Thought City were a bit of an anti-climax. Not nearly as exciting as I thought they'd be. Great players no doubt but didn't massively enjoy watching them do their thing. Brighton were pretty atrocious also, just fluffing simple passes and leathering clearances when they're not required.

Brighton killed the game with 11 behind the ball but we were poor trying to break them down. Again shades of last season when teams Park like that it's hard to play between the lines and 1-2s to break them down. We did though look better at stopping counters. I'd say a poorish opener against a shocking team who,ll be relegated in March. We could do with a big man for getting on the end if crosses in games like this.

Crosses and big men isnt pep's game at all though.
