What's good about it?Good
I agree I really hate it when a player that we sign for big money end up getting a chance to prove themselves frankly I was disappointed that we didn't break Lukaku legs as soon as he entered the training ground. Oh well. What's good about it?
Thanks for the weird rant.I agree I really hate it when a player that we sign for big money end up getting a chance to prove themselves frankly I was disappointed that we didn't break Lukaku legs as soon as he entered the stadium. oh well
Luke Shaw has the potential to be a fantastic player. I'm glad we're looking at developing him instead of discarding him before he's really had a chance and moving onto the next new thing. What's good about it?
What's good about it?
I wouldn't even offer Shaw a Werthers Original until he's proved he can stay fit for longer than 6 months.
I'm all for giving people chances, and after suffering a double leg break, he should get more than most.
But the fact is we can't wait forever for the lad. I'd give him till Feb/March and see how he does.
I do rate him highly, and would love for him to succeed.
Deep down I have to look at what I was doing at the start of last season. Maybe at the time I thought I was training hard enough but what gives me confidence is that the manager believes I can do more. "I'm ready now. I think I realise now even more how important it is to give everything for the manager and the club; to strive for the best, to win trophies.
That's true, and I wouldn't want Rose for the prices quoted. I'd rather us stick with Blind and Darmian for now.I agree, but he can hardly do that with Danny Rose in the way.
This.I think it would be daft for the club not to exercise the 1 year option on his contract. We paid a lot of money for him and to lose him in a years time for next to nothing wouldn't be great.
I still think that he's got the potential to be a great player for us, fitness at the moment seems to be the big issue. I would imagine that the club will extend his deal by a year and then if he can prove his fitness over the next year and also show signs of improving as a player then they'll offer him a new 4 or 5 year deal.
At 18 years of age, Shaw was scarily good at Southampton. He got it all to be the best left back in the Prem, maybe even Europe. Just ask Gary Neville.
Would be such a shame if he didn't make it here and the waste of talent would be similar to Anderson.
Luke, if you read this, I want you to know that I believe in you.
Call this article bull*hit. Why would the club offer a contract to someone who is consistently injured. It's much more likely we would offer him an incentive for a new contract which is to get fit and remain available
Lol the over hype of english players is incredible. He has shown nothing in the last 2 years to indicate he will be in the top 5 lb's in the premier league let alone the best in Europe
And why is that? Two years ago he broke his fecking leg.Lol the over hype of english players is incredible. He has shown nothing in the last 2 years to indicate he will be in the top 5 lb's in the premier league let alone the best in Europe

United "EXPECT" to extend Shaw's contract.
We didn't actually give him a new contract yet. This article can be the 'incentive' for his motivation. That he still has the support of the club, even though he's been out for a while and some fans turned their backs on him.
The title doesn't say United "Confirm" to extend Shaw's contract.
I like this article since it can give Shaw a moral boost to come back strong, and assuring fans the club did not give up on him.
Call this a good article.
The club aren't offering him a contract, it's the extension option from the original contract so we don't lose him for free next season.Call this article bull*hit. Look at the guy your username was taken from.
The club has a recent history of doing just that.
Well his leg was hanging off for 1 of those years.
