They can do It, will they? Not at all, They're up against world class experience, if recent history has shown us anything, Spurs are done in Europe.

Good draw for the really full-on fans like Glasto to genuinely assess where their team is against decent European opposition.

After last years showing in both the CL and EL I think it's important for Spurs to give a decent showing.

I think the Wembley atmosphere with Real and Dortmund there will actually give Spurs and their fans a real taste of properly big games, and I reckon they might just rise to it.

I mean, Real at Wembley is basically worthy of a CL final. Exciting stuff :)

Spurs has the opportunity to go toe to toe against the big boys

The intended meaning of my ;) leans more in the opposite direction, but there will likely be an announcement shortly that make things clear.
Remember when you told us Bale was signing a new contract the summer he left for Madrid. Oh how we laughed.

If we do get knocked out of the CL into the EL, I'd like us to take it seriously tbh. We need to raise the co-efficient to prevent such scenarios in the future if we can. Not to mention the trophy as well if we can do it.

Sense. The Europa would be a great trophy for Spurs (as it was for us last season), and ensures CL footy as well.

Amazing draw, pumped and excited to see us against Madrid and Dortmund. If you cannot get excited about those sorts of games then you shouldn't be a football fan. No idea if we will have enough to get through but ever hopeful.

17/10 - Real Madrid (A)
22/10 - Liverpool (H)
28/10 - Man Utd (A)
1/11 - Real Madrid (H)
5/11 - Crystal Palace (H)
19/11 - Arsenal (A)
21/11 - Dortmund (A)

What a month

I'm in London the day before the Madrid game, so I'm definitely going to extend my stay and get tickets for the game at Wembley. Hopefully see Ronaldo, Bale, Modric...

Hey Glaston, this is somewhat unrelated, but how do you feel when you watch Man Utd games which don't affect Spurs in any way? Given that you're a pretty well-known part of this forum, I was just wondering do you tend to root against us? Or do you even have a little bit of a like deep down for United at this point. Just wondering.

I always want the result that best benefits Spurs, which depends on the league table and the surrounding circumstances.

Wembley+Real :smirk::wenger:

You're close to a few though?

You're a bit obsessed with this topic aren't you. I can only think there's a little bit of residual nervousness about Martial underlying it all. That would be understandable, since he can't be very happy about being left out of the French squad due to lack of playing time at United. And so agents do what agents do ...

I'm as obsessed as those famous ITKs.

Can't he be happy? You tell me? Ask your pals. They will give you the big scoop I'm sure. Please come on the Caf and share with us ASAP. Martial to Spurs. And it's live!

Now that you're an ITK - or so you tell us - you just need to become a famous ITK. The first step on this apprenticeship is to know the obvious ... so do I really need to tell you that Martial's unhappy about being left out of the French squad?

Nah ...

Nah ...

Are you part of the RICITKs?

Membership number 11.

No hang on, that's Martial shirt number ... I've gotten all flustered in replying to an actual ITK. God knows what I'll be like when you become famous.

I think that draw has handed their manager a reason to overlook champions league. Thats what they did last time they faced dortmond.

Spurs can get out of that group.
Of course everything is possible, but realistically talking, Dortmund and Madrid are definitely stronger. Anyone can make wild "free" prediction. I doubt anybody would bet their house for Tottenham to progress.

I might be a minority on this forum but I hope Spurs can knock either BVB or Madrid in the group stages.

That's one less team to worry about.

Just a note to someone who is arguing with Glaston. He has no ITK information and is purely basing his information/delusion on the fact that one of the posters on the SpursCommunity forums says that United would sell at a 70m package and he has "information" that Martial wants out. Obviously other deluded Spurs fans and Glaston have lapped it up. None of them have been pathetic enough to masquerade that as their own information on any other board but then that's Glaston for you.

Just to give an idea of the level of IQ there, people are debating whether United would take Dier in exchange of Martial even though we've just signed Matic.
