World Cup Qualifiers + Friendlies | November 2017

I feel this is great news for England. After Germany we have to be favorites now. LolZ

Everyone in Italy tonight...

Time for Italy to restart and choose the right man for the job, guess players like Buffon, Barzagli, Chiellini or De Rossi will be replaced...

Italy. How the mighty have fallen. Their team isn't as half as good as some of the past ones but nevertheless it's a big failure.

WC without Italy, it's not the same. It's like a Russia without votka, it's like a village without a church, a girl without a nice, big ass.

Ok I'll stop now. :D

a World Cup without the Gli Azzurri is not quite the same!

And some people have the nerve to call international football boring.

It's gripping. Can't wait for the world cup.

As much as I love manchester united and club football, anything relating to world cup is far better. Pure passion.

The issue is they no longer produce world-class offensive players.

Had to laugh at the player who took the corner at the end for Italy only for it to be met first with a Swedish header, he kissed and blessed the ball at least 3 times before putting it on the spot.

After all the praying and blessing for various cities all over the world it should be quite obvious that it doesn't work... :wenger:

Club football supporters can be all haughty about international football buy World cup is the biggest there is to footballers. 2 CL medals or one world cup medal? Most would probably go for the latter.

Footballers would lie about injuries etc to be able to play for their country and won't think twice about fecking the club that pays them over.

International football = biggest

Congrats to Sweden and their fans, well done and good luck in Russia next year. As for Italy, better to face how sh*t we are and possibly reboot.

Italy as a nation will be missed but this italian side is crap and the wc will better off without them.Maybe gives a wake up call for the likes of italy, dutch and US.

Changes on Ventura's wikipedia page going into overdrive.

World class players in general I'd even say. Verratti has good potential but he's nowhere near his PSG form for them, other than that, I'm struggling to think of many good potential players. Their backline is very old too, they all need to retire.

I’m old bun CAF standards, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a WC with no Italy in it. Germany’s odds got a little better

Just in, seen result, didn't see any of the game. How did Lindelof play - interested to see if different to United form.

If any good, any idea why? (formation, good CH team-mates??)

I put it down to confidence and having a stable CB partner that really compliments him. Granqvist, Forsberg and VNL were easily our best 3 players this tie.

Gigi legend and all that, but needs to pipe down.
He won the WC, should've just retired then.

Also zero sympathy re: no CL win, should've gone to a proper big club to actualy win it if it was so imp to him....

True, Italy always had very skillful players and this Italian team does not have that anymore. They always had great midfield players who can conjure something and very good solid defenders and one or two extremely good strikers. This Italian side does not seem to have that.

It's important to remember that Lloris made it possible.

Yes, but he had better players to choose than Conte had, and the performances were much worse...
