Other than Mangala, the rest were short-term plugs for a specific problem.
Pep's got his own list with Nolito (£18m), Claudio Bravo (£18m), Danilo (£30m) soon to be Stones (£50m) etc.
Honestly at least back up those specific problems.
Say what, Bony was a short term plug for what, because he sold Dzeko (one of the best goalscorers in Europe to get him instead.)
Jovetic was 4th choice striker so what hole did he plug and what specific problem did he solve?
Zucilini solved a hole in what our reserves bench?
Fernando, what hole did he fill?
MDM was rushed in and played a lot as I said, a poor player who was rushed in and did an acceptable job given his ability.
Navas did what? He plugged a hole alright (for the opposition),by constantly kicking the ball off the legs of the first man when in good positions. He was a hard worker (and I like Navas) but benched a far more talented player who happened to be a lazy cnut (Nasri).
Except Danilo will play alot, Stones is not a problem and was in the CL team of the group stage (unlike better world class CB's like Bailly), Bravo has looked ok this season (and while I still have him in the flop category) plus he made £12m back on Nolito (a total flop).
If you are really trying to argue that Pelligrini's transfer record at City is even comparable to Pep's I give up. Pelligrini took a team who were top 2 was it 4 seasons in a row and turned them into a team struggling for 4th, thats a fact.
Pep has rebuilt a 4th place one into champions elect.
