Premier League Gameweek 28 (24th February - 1st March 2018) | Arsenal vs Man City live at 19:45 GMT

This place will go into meltdown if we lose against Chelsea tomorrow that is for sure!
Forget losing. Even if we draw it will be Armageddon. Assuming Spurs win, 2nd-5th would look like this if we draw:

2. Liverpool - 57
3. Manchester United - 57
4. Spurs - 55
5. Chelsea - 54

Was only on MD26 that our lead over third was 5 points, our lead over fourth was 6 points and our lead over fifth was 7 points.

Real squeaky bum time.....

Would attackers do better in a team that focuses on both attack and defence rather than just attack do better?

No, probably not. Mystery that one
How would they do for united though?

So if we win tomorrow we're 2 ahead of third and 6 ahead of fifth.
I know its a plausible scenario but we really aren't in that bad of a situation here, other sides will have games like we did v Newcastle.

Meanwhile, in the Championship...

Bit harsh on Adolf, that.

So all we need to do to ease pressure is to win a 6 pointer against a rival coming off some decent results under a manager who absolutely hates ours and will do anything to get one over on us.

Yeah, simple.

Never had anything against WBA and feel a bit sorry for them at the moment.

Always detested Pardew so delighted to see his latest club in deep, deep shit.

How should I feel tonight ? Decisions, decisions...

That is mental. I wish we could rewind back to the Spurs game. Things were looking so good back then. Losing is simply not an option and a draw although it's a bad result isn't a complete disaster. We are in trouble as it stands right now and even if we draw tommorow Chelsea have City in their next game and I fully expect them to lose that game. After the next two games we could be anything from 3 points outside the top 4 to 9 points clear of it. Very crucial couple of games.

Brilliant result for Brighton. So happy for them.

From United's point of view - we are really up against it if we want to finish in the top 4, let alone in 2nd. But nobody to blame but ourselves, for that ridiculous run over Christmas. Bad results will always happen (i.e. the Newcastle game), but the two back to back home draws with Burnley and Southampton? That was disgraceful.

Likely not as well. Salah said himself on a podcast that he credit's Klopp giving him the freedom to express himself for his flying start in the league.

Goals scored in all competitions by the top six this season:

Manchester City: 111 (42 games, 2.64/game)
Liverpool: 103 (40 games, 2.58/game)
Chelsea: 89 (44 games, 2.02/game)
Tottenham Hotspur: 80 (40 games, 2/game)
Manchester United: 79 (41 games, 1.93/game)
Arsenal: 78 (42 games, 1.86/game)

Chelsea playing Qarabag (10 goals in 2 games) and Liverpool playing Maribor (also 10 goals in 2 games) distort the stats a bit but you also thrashed Spartak Moscow and Porto, both of which are better teams than Maribor and Qarabag. Doubt we'd score that many.

Liverpool fans chanting 'There's only one lying bastard' to Evra

Disgraceful. They actually think they're right. Did the club ever apologize to Evra? Fecking sickening.

And Suarez even admitted to using the term in question repeatedly.

Liverpool will be clear 2nd.
Spurs 3rd.

Whoever is the least shit between us and Chelsea will scrape 4th.
Pathetic.

Not written in stone that. Predictions have been changing every other week, there is no guarantee any team finishes anywhere between 2nd-5th. Only City and Arsenal are done with the league in their own ways.

I was at OT a few years back and at the tram stop outside, plenty of Utd fans were singing about 96 not being enough. Both fanbases have utter twats in their ranks

What relevance does that have to today's chants? None.

Furthermore it is a false equivalence. The club, LFC, endorsed this behaviour by backing Suarez and never apologizing to Evra.

Edit: and the chanting about Munich and Hillsborough indeed represents a small subset of twats on both sides. But in recent memory it has never been as vociferous as today's Evra chants. Unfortunately that particular subset seems alarmingly large.

True. It's not written in stone. It only seems like yesterday United fans were confident of a clear second.

The spanish coach as always prefers his cute spanish player. I hope Richarlison fecks off from that disaster situation asap.

This Watford v Everton game could quite possibly be the worst game of football I've ever watched. How much do they get paid again?
