Premier League Gameweek 28 (24th February - 1st March 2018) | Arsenal vs Man City live at 19:45 GMT

I don't think Arsenal have even been that bad. Some crazy football by city in patches during that half.

Commentator just pointed out that three behind Aubameyang are United rejects. I know Mkhi and welbeck but is ozil really a united reject considering he wanted to come here and we just got sanchez.

Are you watching NBC? Sounds like something a yank would say

It's over for Wenger. The fat lady is warming up her vocal chords.

Don't even have particularly beautiful footballing style to hide behind anymore. Directionless and spineless.

Arsenal are basically playing with a 4-0-6 formation

There is a black hole in front of their defence.

So will City be merciful enough to not humiliate Arsenal anymore and be fine with only 3 goals or more will come ? :smirk:

City have beaten us and Chelsea away. I'm not sure what people expected from a team worse than mentioned teams. Even in their own stadiums.
True, but with Arsenal it's the manner they lose is what's shocking. It's like they don't have any concept of defending, what do they do in training?

City aren't looking like stopping, i except a few more goals from them.

The last matches makes the Bellerin comments about the fans and Arsenal TV ridiculous.

Depressing. Can't believe the lack of effort from the players.. carry on like this and they'll get beat in the next round of the EL.

I hate conspiracies like this that the refs help certain teams.

Remember when Sir Alex was still the manager? Every opposition fan was saying he had the FA and the refs in his pocket. It was pure bitterness and I see so many accusations towards City like this one. Doping, refs, unfair money. I hate the lot and everything they stand for, but they are just better, there is no ulterior reason or conspiracy that goes in their favour.
I'm not saying there's a pro-City conspiracy. I'm just saying that the refs are incompetent when it comes to the application of the advantage rule, and pointed out how it helped City there. It was more to show that playing 'advantage' is not always an advantage to the team that you're giving it to, and it showed there because they were allowed to keep pressing higher up in the pitch and force a mistake.

It's pretty much what's been discussed in the high pressing teams vs fouling thread.

Essentially, you're posing a counter-argument to an argument I never made.

Arsenal playing much better than they did in the cup final, and still getting demolished even more.

Good to see Mkhi still jumps out of any challenge that comes near him.

Guardiola doesn't seem to detest Wenger and might prefer him to anyone else at Arsenal. Also, why risk injuries, etc. Even so, an half- asleep City can still put a lot more goals here.

Arsenal are hopeless...

They need to get rid of Wenger as soon as possible. Probably the lowest point of his career right now.

Its not a black hole as that wouldnt let anything pass through . More like worm hole, that sends ball from city defense into the arsenal goal at a very high speed.

He was an excellent CB, best in the Prem at one point, but it seems like his body has gone a bit. Might be better off in a different league.

He was never good enough for. Even Lovren had his season, so sooner or later every defender will be good at some point, but more often Koscielny looked like an average defender than a great one. Honestly, his defending was always pretty questionable, and he has costed Arsenal a lot during the years.

Just look at him tonight, I cannot understand how such experienced defender can be so shit at times.

Koscielny is past it and Mustafi should have been dropped after the Cup final but that sums up Wenger. Kolasinac is also looking like a flop.

Arsenal is useless... 3 goals already, what the hell is wrong with this team?

Reminiscent of the Moyes days, getting smashed 3-0 at home to both City and Liverpool a few matches apart.

Not sure why I deserved the "jog on" comment and attitude, but fair enough. It's just a growing trend in the Caf to commit to such conspiracies just because fans hate seeing City being so damn good so it has to be that they have unfair advantages.

I don't know - City haven't walked all over them as such, but they've carved Arsenal completely open 4 times with worrying ease, that's for sure.

I predict it finishes Arsenal 1, 2 or 3 & City 5, 6 or 7. But with 3-5 the least likely, :D.

As bad as Arsenal look, if they bring in a new manager and a proper CB, DM and Keeper I could see them being excellent. A front 4 of Aubameyang-Ramsey-Ozil-Mkhitaryan has obvious talent even if it's all players best deployed centrally, Xhaka looks awful but could be part of a decent double pivot with the right partner, Bellerin has regressed a ton defensively and seems scared to pass forward but there's a player in there and the LBs are basically fine if nothing special.

If their summer brings in Jardim and Fabinho from Monaco, a competent starting CB and a keeper upgrade I think they'll be right back to competing for the 2nd best team in the country instead of this shambles.

City have scored some good goals but why on earth do we try and beat them at their own game.

It's absolute suicide.

The fans would have accepted a park the bus style workman like performance.

Arsenal with a bit of luck could have scored. Feel a bit sorry for them.

I don't.
The only thing I am worried about is that if AFC take a real beating - let's say 10-0 - then Wenger may be asked to resign.
If Wenger leaves then I truly believe that AFC will instantly be a top 4 side and a rival for us.
Like our opponents did not want Moyes to be sacked when managing us, I do not want Wenger sacked.

:lol::lol::lol:

I remember reading that some black holes can be wormholes as well, maybe we should call Nasa to investigate what happened in the first half?

What's your problem with him tonight?

I think he's been very soft on Arsenal tonight. Probably because of how he was on Sunday.
He just annoys me more and more.

Though it's the media love in for Man City that grates on me. The football is good but the defending on all those goals were atrocious and that is what should have been focused on.

This City team has achieved nothing yet, and yet they are talked about as one of the greatest of all time.

I realised it was unnecessarily harsh, you managed to quote me just before I edited it out, sorry

Actually, you managed to see it and then quoted the edited post. Perfect timing, haha.
