Wow. I hope the Glazers learned their lesson, never to sell the best players. Not that there will ever be another Ronaldo.
we still have the ronaldo war chestLet's stop up with this. He wanted to leave. What are we supposed to do ? Face it Madrid and Barca for most players are the pinnacle of football, the ultimate target for most footballers. We can't help this.
The mistake wan't using the money for selling him to get proper replacements.
Get oooon the train![]()
Cristiano FC
Something quite poetic about Zidane - scorer of one of the greatest Champions League goals - being on the touchline to witness a goal that history will come to define as equally as remarkable.

I won't remember Ronaldo in years to come unless someone brings him up in conversation.
No chance pal. One was the trophy winning goal and the other was during quarters in a 3:0.
Final Trumps quarter final
Cristiano FC
It really is Ronaldo FC
Notice how I didn’t say one was better. But rather, remarkable.
History will rank Ronaldo’s goal tonight as one of the finest in the Champions League era.
The 'value' of the goal imo would be part of the definition of 'remarkable'. But if you didn't then no worries. Clearly was an equally beautiful goal. Won't make history though. Quote me on that.![]()
GOAT. Nothing anyone does will ever change my opinion on that.
The technique on that was exquisite. He had no business placing it in the net with such grace and placement, leaving Buffon stranded.
More impressed with him passing the ball back instead of shooting from a tight angle that he's probably scored from before.
Not related to the goal (because my opinions aren't that volatile) but he's definitely cemented his status as a top 5 player of this era at the very least.
Greatest CL player of all time.
Greatest goal scorer if all time.
Greatest European player of all time.
Can barely watch him without getting angry.
Real Madrid have essentially bought 3CLs, 2 league titles, countless cups and 500 goals for £80m.
While we are wallowing in mediocrity.
I think it will, for the standing ovation alone - that’s a rarified sight and one that will not be discounted when recalling the most memorable Champions League goals.
Top 5!?
I know Messi’s there - but please, who are the other three? This era? So you’re not even including Maradona and Pele? Again, who are the other three?
Ronaldo and Messi are the GOAT, just not possible to argue away from it, looking at their stats, trophies and longevity. The guy’s got 120 goals in the Champions League alone, that’s more than most strikers get in their entire career in all competitions.
Already forgot about itThis is the moment where I should go back and quote what some people were saying, not just earlier in the season but as soon as yesterday. I don't think they need pointing out at how stupid they were though. I'll just leave this one here from our Juve fan and Ronaldo hater through the years. Back in 2015...
It may seem harsh but it's deserved. Did you clap the goal too @Vialli_92?![]()
