Day 10: Belgium vs Tunisia, South Korea vs Mexico and Germany vs Sweden

I noticed it recently but Phil Neville's voice when he's commentating feels so forced and unnatural. He talks in mini-bursts like he's trying to make things sound dramatic.

He's worse than Owen Hargreaves. That's a sentence I thought I'd never write.

If Lukaku had a first touch he would be in the top tier of strikers, sadly I don't think he ever will.

Poor first touch by Rom, not sure if he could have prevented the ball from going across him and first touch on his left side but then shows good hold up/link up play in the following moments

Yeah, it's awful. If someone said do a joke commentator's voice that's what you'd do.

I think his first few attempts at commentary are how he would normally speak, where he was very monotone and just droned on. He took a load of flack and said he would improve. Hence his current attempt at soun ding excited which just feels false.

He’s basically trying to talk like Gary

De Bruyne not even half the player he is when he plays for Belgium. Strange seeing such a great player almost anonymous

Oh Rom.. should have done better

Thank god Fellaini is not stinking up the place. Does Martinez not trust him as much as Marc Wilmots did?
